Good morning Lodge peeps. So, prior to last week's Beanpot I blocked of 3:00-5:00pm on my calendar today juuuuuust in case BU did not make it to the final tonight. And naturally, I was prescient because of course they lost and will play the consolation game, which starts at 4:30. And also naturally, as I was trying to set up a creative presentation meeting for 11 people this week, the only available time for everyone was 3:30-4:00. Sigh. So, I will head to the game at 4:00 and will not be in my seat for face off, which is one of those things I need to do. Also, for the first time in exactly two years and 11 months, I will take public transportation. I'm not paying the exorbitant parking prices plus traffic will probably mean I wouldn't get there till close to 5:00pm. Send happy thoughts to me!!

how could everyone be available at 3:30 if your calendar was blocked off for 3:30?
Happy thoughts to Scarlet.

I'm the one that set up the meeting. I grimaced when I saw everyone that needed to be there was available at that time. I was the only one who wasn't. D@mn BU for not making the finals!!! :shakes fist:

Question: do you pronounce acronyms as if they are a word or do you spell them out? Does it depend on the acronym?

Current workplace is the first time I've heard people pronounce VA/VE as 'vah-vay', I always spell out V. A. V. E and everytime I hear 'vah-vay' it grates on me.

I've found that when I know what the acronym stands for I tend to spell it out, when I don't know or it's more than 4 letters (like NASCAR), I pronounce it.
