The usher by our seats goes up and down the aisle fist bumping fans when we score, he always has a fist bump for wolverineToddler. Tonight he kept a shirt from the tshirt toss and handed it to our little girl. Her grin was so huge, and she has been hugging the shirt ever since.

I’m putting this here because I think this tidbit would mostly interest Scarlet for celeb gossip and all.
Short story long…My wife attended a university in Ohio with a few women who happened to be from New Orleans, and two of whom moved to MN after graduating. Well, the one that pertains to this story, she and her husband decided to settle down around here, roughly a mile or so down the road. As it turns out that this woman also happens to be second-cousins with Britney Spears. I just learned that fact this weekend when the NoLA friend’s mom was visiting. The family only learned about it some 10 years ago or so because Mrs. G. (friend’s mom) was born to a family with siblings who looked much different than she did even though they all had the same mother who had always been married to the same man (wink, wink, nudge, nudge, as Mrs. G. said herself). So, even though all was denied to the day her mama passed, she finally had a DNA test done a few years ago, and was matched up to a cousin on her biological father’s side and they confirmed a few things to ensure it wasn’t some mistake.
A few months after that, Mrs. G was invited to her newly found family’s annual picnic. A little while into the event, up strolled Brittney. Until then, Mrs. G didn’t realize that her one cousin was Brittney’s father. “I’ll tell you this, he’s an even bigger jerk than how he comes off in the news.” Apparently, Brittney’s mostly sweet, but needs to learn to dress a bit more appropriately for family occasions. One of Brittney’s aunts used to keep extra clothes in the car for when she’d appear at the picnics.

Hi Lodge. Happy Friday! Hope you're all staying warm. Going to be FRIGID here in 617-land today and tomorrow. Was never planning to travel to Orono for BU's one game there tonight, then thought about it, then chose to not go. And glad I didn't as it will be super frigid there. I'd be more worried about my car not starting than getting frostbite or whatever. Also, I had my annual physical this morning and I'm already playing catch up with work.
