Good morning Lodge

An advertising algorithm got me this week. Do I need joggers with 80s cartoon characters on them? No. Did I want them once I saw they existed? yes. I ultimately decided that while I may never wear this item in public, it will likely make me smile everytime I wear it at home.
 
Good morning Lodge. I did not win Mega Millions last night. I did also buy a Powerball ticket for tonight. We’ll see.

im at my mom’s right now. Came up last night as BU did not have a game. I took her to see her doctor earlier this week as my brother had to take her to the ER the Thursday prior with bad back pain. She’s fine now. When we went to her follow up with a nurse practitioner on Tuesday, she was prescribed Prednisone to help with an inflammatory condition in her shoulders. The pharmacy called her Thursday that it was read, she didn’t remember what it was for so she canceled it. When I got up here last night, I told her what it was for, called the pharmacy to fill it and we picked it up this morning. Just sat with her to go over what to take, etc.

And then Last night when we were eating, she tells me a secret she has kept for many years, and I’m the first person she’s told. It’s nothing bad, just…juicy. Not about her, it’s about a family member. Not going to get into it here. Just…man, nothing like having your mom drop something like that out of the blue. I totally want to tell my brothers but I’m not going to.

Challenging last few days. Spent 6.5 hrs on the phone, dealing with stuff for my Auntie. And because mum les can sniff out any attention not headed her way she called me 5-6 times over the last 2 days. I am driving her to her appts and 3 out of the last 5 appts she has been so late they needed to fit her in later or she had wrong time or wrong date. She has about another 14-16 appts that she needs to have in the next 4-6 weeks. Each one will entail multiple calls to complain about the appt, the person she is seeing, that she shouldn't have to do x, her being late when I pick her up, complaints the whole way there then the appt where she can't hear but refuses to wear her hearing aids. No amt of chocolate milk is going to fix this.
