Good morning Ralph!

Good morning to the rest of tLodge!

The wife and I tested positive for Covid yesterday. I have some congestion but she had a 102 fever last night thats now 100.2.

Tonight, I will be missing my first Quinnipiac home game since January 28, 2007! It was a good 16 year run I suppose, and all good things come to an end.

Hope you feel better soon Mark!

I’m on my way to the *HT. Get that martini ready. Still 20 minutes to play but down by two with no signs of life. I may head for the exit soon.

Spent the rest of the weekend at the *HT. Talk about snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Three unanswered goals to take the lead after 2 periods (yay!), commit stupid penalty in third, give up tying goal (boo), give up game winning goal with literally 0.1 seconds to go (kill me now). Stayed away from all things college hockey yesterday. Couldn't deal.

Today is a new day. I'm actually working today - we don't get today as a holiday. How about the rest of you?

On my 4th of 5 days quarantine. Still very congested but no other symptoms. My wife is over her fever (high of 102.5) but is dealing with the same congestion issues. Neither of our doctors put us on Paxlovid. Mine said no fever meant my body was able to fight it off. Plus, my symptoms started 4 days before testing positive so I was likely outside the window.

The rest has been nice but I'm starting to get bored of just sitting atound. Going out in a bit to do a curbside grocery pickup.

I am the only one in my department working today. Tech called off last night, sitter is sick, someone has to watch the kid who is off of school. Engineer called in this morning, kid is still sick, taking her to the doctor. I had planned to take today or part of today off to spend with my mom who is in town. She's still getting quality time with my adorable 3 year old, so I guess it's ok I'm at work, but not really.

NaSK has the day off (he works for a financial company, so if the stock market's closed, they are closed)

Also, outdoor hockey is dumb. Work trips to Iowa that will cause me to miss Friday's home hockey game is also dumb.

Glad you're feeling better. Have you tested again to see if you're still positive?

I cancelled my trip to UVM for this weekend. Decided not to go because the people I was going to drive up there with told me they were going with others so I would have to drive myself. Burlington, VT is about 3 1/2 hours away and the weather looks sketchy. Plus, with the way the team is playing, I wasn't going to attempt that drive to see two losses. Thankfully, Marriott credited me my non-refundable fee (told them I had an unexpected family emergency). I don't mind eating the cost of the game tickets. I will need to find someone with ESPN+ though so I can eat least watch.
