Because they are so believable. :rolleyes: Gwoz had a higher base at DU than Timmay, had far more ancillary income at DU than Timmay, and reportedly wanted more money. If you're trying to start a stupid rumor, go ahead. If you'd like to start one that will get some traction, you'll have to try a lot harder.

Not true. I know one guy who was rejected. I know another guy who got booted for not being able to hack it, too. That guy was really dumb.

I'm pretty sure I've mentioned this before but....a kid I graduated high school with got into SCSU with an ACT score of 12. 12. Pretty sure he washed out, though.

Unless you're trying to get into one of the Top 50 or so schools, college admissions is a joke. Once they let in all the top applicants, and the best ones have chosen to go to other schools, they just start working their way down the wait list until they have enough enrollment. The kid may not hack it, but the school still milks a year or two's worth of tuition and fees out of it.

The one guy who got rejected during the admission process was just too high. All the time. I don't think I ever saw him sober a day in his life during high school. Good guy, very mellow. He ended up going to Augsburg. Auggie Tech!

The guy who got the boot was someone I knew back home, wasn't ever friends with him, and it was his mom who told me that her boy got the boot. That guy was the idiot.

They do that a lot out west. Univ. of Kansas is known as KU out there. It's a thing.

Ray, Many schools west of the Mississippi go with so-called reversed initials. CU for University of Colorado, KU for University of Kansas. UA for University of Arizona to name just a few which spring to mind. Don't know when or why the practice started.

ASaaG is absolutely right; it has to do with all the profanity among us here out West. Say, for an example a man tells U to F- yourself. Well, being out West I might just say "F U". See?
