Re: Poll: Rep Retirement Lodge #165: Spring Has Sprung!

Good morning, Lodge.

I bought my boss at the cat shelter, who's been a mom to me, a bottle of wine.

I had to read that several time. I first thought that you purchased your boss at the cat shelter, and then the rest didn't make sense. :D

Give the man a break. It is midnight to him and you all aren't awake :p

Re: Poll: Rep Retirement Lodge #165: Spring Has Sprung!

Your tag at the bottom of the post takes up a whole Page. It makes me laugh every time.
I've been trying to make it as long as possible, trying to show these clowns with a bunch of quotes and myriad other crap how stupid it looks and how big a pain in the a55 it is. There actually is a size limit to one's sig - who knew? - and I've bumped up against it. Still trying to make it longer, maybe using larger fonts and multiple lines. I can't tell if my target audience gets it though.

Good Morning Lodge

I thought it was an example from the book "Eats, shoots and leaves."

I mean, many people have cats acting as their boss in some ways, so I thought that at first. Then had to try to fit the rest of the sentence in there.

 who exactly is the target audience?

Re: Poll: Rep Retirement Lodge #165: Spring Has Sprung!

les, thanks for the rep note. I've been hitting rep like a crack whore hits the pipe, so I'm spent. Make it happen. How's the sig look now? I've got it to take more than one screen.

Lucky me I get to make a few trips to Mass. and back over the next few days. Cue anybody who wants a quote for their own sig line: I'll be driving the short bus to Logan about 2:00 tonight, taking a bunch of guys from church who are headed to Guatemala on a mission trip. When I get home I'll tag the wife (did you get that one, too?), she'll get out of bed, and I'll hop in for a nap. Back to Boston in the evening for a wine party and overnight.

Re: Poll: Rep Retirement Lodge #165: Spring Has Sprung!

Forgot to mention, jr has joined the sailing team at his school and "practice" started this week, Tuesday. While at the parents' meeting Tuesday after "practice" I watched a guy walking out to an ice fishing hole just a hundred yards out from the dock. They had a regatta scheduled for April 13 which will be postponed due to the fact that they don't sail ice boats but water boats.

But last night there was a boat in the water and working on roll tacks. The UMN team sails from the same facility and they had one boat in. There is open water around the docks since they run bubblers to keep the docks open all winter. He might get to actually sail next week.

My niece used to sail out of Wayzata in high school. Her college club has already had a spring regatta.

Good for jr! I'm jealous of him, honestly. I've been a lake bum for every summer of my life, but my family hasn't ever been into sailing. Gotta love living in Minnesota though, eh?;)

Long workout. It brought me back to my high school days..from grades 10-12 I spent hundreds of hours there. I wanted rondo everything I could to play division 1 hockey, but more importantly, lead my team to a State Tournament birth. There were a lot of 8th and 9th graders in there today. That makes me happy, and also reminds me how thankful I was of my parents getting up a tad early to make yet another sacrifice for me. I'm gonna call them later and thank them again.

I'm gonna be reeeealllyyyyy sore later today and tomorrow.

Edit: I also thought the boss was purchased at the cat store the first time through.:p
