I have never met coach Emery personally, and his record speaks for itself. But, I have to admit that I'm surprised a coach as seemingly old-school and no nonsense as he is would be so active on a social media site such as Twitter.

Not a dig on him, because like I said, he is a proven winner. Also, I guess it helps to keep Platty fans in the loop and psyched up on Cardinal hockey...

I would think it is a good/positive thing for sure,I am kind of surprised that we dont see more of it.

I agree. Bob uses this media to also provide many bits of inspiration/info. concerning sports and I think it might just reach some of the players and provide them with food for thought. :)

I think its great...I know its not Eddy's thing, but selective use of social media by coaches helps provide an insight into their POV for fans...a good thing IMHO

Has anyone heard anything definitive on who will be taking over the radio waves for Cardinal Hockey? I always enjoyed Rob Knowles doing color over the last few years. Maybe the Rob & Robbie show?

I haven't heard for sure. But if I were to venture a guess....I would say Robbie on the road and Robbie and Uncle Rob at home. I am sure Norm can find out for sure for us.

I vaguely recall talking to Rob Knowles about this last year and I believe that is correct.

that's a possibility, and I'll ask Robby to see if he knows anything. However, Robby became the teams video engineer last year and I believe that would stop him from doing the radio....

Edit: Just spoke to Robby, he and I are pretty good friends, and he has confirmed that he is taking over for Ducky... I've heard Robby before and he announces weekly at the local racetrack up here and he's good.. but he's got some HUGE shoes to fill.

He had huge shoes to fill at Airborne as well when his Dad passed away....he has filled those shoes very well....I am sure he will do great !

When Ducky did the blue line report with Coach Emery last year the coach hinted that Ducky may be a guest from time to time this season. Seeing Steph Dutton was promoted, I am wondering if they will have Ducky step in for the weekly show. I sure did miss the behind the bench program and I think he would be the perfect fit for the live stream blue line report.

Boys were on the ice tonight. Hard to tell who is who yet of the newbies but 3 goalies out there. It won't be long!!!

Aside from the Quebec Collegiate Hockey League All-Stars game (7:00pm Saturday, October 25th); all I have heard of, is an Alumni Women's Hockey Game at 3pm Saturday, October 18, 2014 in the Stafford Ice Arena.
