Looks like they did a pretty good job staggering all of the non-conference away games, though it also helps that there's a team besides Skidmore on the even-year home schedule now. Tough conference scheduling, too: three straight weeks on the road to open, and two to close (including both Genny and Oswego).

I know I'm beating a dead horse but I really miss seeing "Elmira" on there somewhere. :(

Being in Hartford, Ct, I can't catch many games, but Williams on a saturday will be great fun. Two years ago it was on a monday of a holiday weekend -- don't recall the exact date -- and if my memory serves correct, they tied at 2. That's the game Satim got banged up. The crowd was pitiful; nearly as many Cards fans -- I guess drawing from the Albany area -- in that drafty old barn. Maybe I can parlay it into a weekend of skiing at nearby Jiminy Peak. Go Cards!

as for the game vs Oz at the CC on fri. the 17th of FEb..., usually that is a sat game which would be the 18th of feb??? Oz usually plays Potsdam on the fri b4 they play the birds ..perhaps a change?? also seems to be the same way when the lakers visit platts, and that is changed as well??

I think only the last couple years Oswego has played Plattsburgh on Saturday night. I know during my time at Oswego, atleast three of the four and maybe all four Plattsburgh games were on Friday and the Potsdam game followed on Saturday.

I think the league tries to switch it up every few years to avoid complaints of X team had to play Y team the night before they played Z team etc.

See Saints complaints about Potsdam having to play Morrisville first every year.....

ok then I have been to the CC the past 2 yrs and it was pots fri and platts sat, and remember it that way when I played....so I guess i will have to get there early on the 17th to get the juices flowing after a 5hr ride......looking forward to it.......

And I've been gone for each of those so that makes sense! :)

Truthfully I'm just happy the Lakers are 5-0-0 against Plattsburgh since I've departed the shores of Lake Ontario.

10-4 all makes sense, does your jink thing included the CC as well as the stafford?? ps as I played for Elmira my fresh yr, what is the RIP LH #4 refer to, I take it as a Elmira player??

I had a six-game in person losing streak at the Stafford spanning Norwich men's hockey, Elmira men, Oswego men, and Elmira women. That was broken on Jan. 12 for the Norwich/Plattsburgh women's game.

During my time at Oswego, I only saw the Lakers beat Plattsburgh once and it was one of the most memorable hockey games I've ever been at when oswego rallied from three down to win 7-5 or 7-6 or something like that on Romney fairwell weekend. Oswego was something like 1-10-1 or 1-9-1 while I was at Oswego.

LH #4 refers to Laura Hurd. She was a women's hockey player for Elmira from 2001-2005 and is the all-time leading scorer in Elmira women's hockey history and D-III women's hockey history with 237 points, a feat that will likely never be touched.

She passed away the summer after she graduated in 2005 in an automobile accident. The D-III women's player of the year award is now named after her with the Laura Hurd Award now going to the D-III Player of the Year as voted on by the AHCA. She won it in 2005 and it was named after her in 2007 or 2008.

I remember a couple years back Plattsburgh played at Oswego on friday night and won, then Potsdam came in on senior night and knocked off the Lakers as well.... since then, I think they have flipped the schedule to play Plattsburgh on Saturday night.... not saying that that was the reason they flipped them though.

That was 2009....My senior year.

I'm pretty sure the league are the ones that set the schedule. The teams don't really have much say other than voting on procedures with coming up with the schedule rather than exact dates.

Apparently my complaints have fallen on deaf ears. Potsdam will be playing Morrisville on Friday night both times again this season, which has amounted to Potsdam playing them the first night every year since M'ville has been in the league.. Thanks Remy for waking up a sleeping Bear. :)

After playing the game Angry Birds, I realize that the birds are mostly red and trying to take on green pigs. I wonder if some disgruntled Platty fan made this game. :D

I think us Oz fans have a new nickname for the Cards... The Angry Birds!

Just got an Andriod phone and downloaded an app called TuneIn Radio.
Stations I've found - WNYO, WDEV. :)
Missing stations -- WIRY

So if I'm driving around on a Friday night during the winter, I know what I'll be listening to.

I found it a few weeks ago for the Blackberry. You can listen to any NHL game and I already have about 30 DIII teams in my preset. WIRY is there tho...1340am
