Plattsburgh State Hockey - 2009/2010

Re: Plattsburgh State Hockey - 2009/2010

How many seats/stands will be available at the door this year after all is said and done?

Given that 1924 in attendance for the Oswego match up and was considered a sellout, and this year’s season tickets are limited to 1100 (last year it was 800), and 50 tickets are reserved for the visiting team, that would leave 774 tickets will be available. However, a substantial portion of those 774 tickets are reserved for Plattsburgh State students, who can pick them up for free. Any tickets not picked up during the assigned times, will be made available to the general public. Bottom line – not many tickets will be available at the door, though I would expect at least a few to be available for every game.

If you live outside the local area, your best chance outside of a season ticket, is, as many have already noted, is to have someone local get you a ticket. Note, the free student tickets REQUIRE a valid student ID at the door.

:)
Unless I'm horribly misreading this, it looks like 13 freshman and 15 upperclassmen. Especially with 3 freshman goaltenders, that does appear to cast doubt on the team's season. Looks to me like more of a rebuilding year, but I could be wrong... (and certainly hope I am) :D[/QUOT Optimistic are you? Let's face it, the coaches have a pretty good eye for those"special" players that just fit well into the system. Sometimes it may take a little adjustment for the new guys but I never doubt their choices. Year after year, things just come together. Looking forward to all the new faces and especially the competition there should be for goaltending. Can't wait!!

PSU plays Concordia on the 17th. The first official practice is on the 15th.

PSU - Plymouth or Penn State:confused: :o Actually, I was testing the forum again, as certainly I couldn't have made a typo:o :o ;)

Re: Plattsburgh State Hockey - 2009/2010

Assuming the Concordia game is free, season ticket holders are paying $110 for eleven games this year. I understand the scheduling limitations, the fact that we have to switch off with our non-conference opponents and the renovations have to be paid for somehow. Nevertheless, ten bucks is a little pricey for a DIII hockey game (reserved seat or not).

I don't think the Concordia game is free. Red and White game on the 24th is.

How far do you think ten bucks goes these days? Pretty good value for the money, a meal at McD's is close to ten bucks and it's not even good for you. I guess baseball games should be 50 cents and we could buy a car for 800 bucks just like the good old days.;)

Re: Plattsburgh State Hockey - 2009/2010

You are paying for the seat, not the game, which is why I never liked the reserved seating only policy. But we don't need to go there again this year.

And don't forget ;) -

Purchasing a season ticket eliminates the hassle of standing in line waiting for tickets, both during the regular season and playoffs (season ticket holders have first priority), plus having the knowledge of securing a reserved seat for every home game during the season.

The admission costs for single games are $5 regular-season reserved seat, $8 Oswego (Nov. 7) and $10 per day of Cardinal Classic (Jan. 1-2, two games on both days). These tickets are available at the Field House Box Office. Procedures about single-game sales will be announced later when details have been finalized.

Do you know if its included in our season tickets? If it is, excellent. If not, it should be. I can certainly understand it being a paid game as they are a very solid opponent.

Re: Plattsburgh State Hockey - 2009/2010

You'll forget all about ticket prices if the product on the ice is worth watching. It looks like this year's team will have some real speed which should make for some thrilling fast-paced action. Early word is that we might be weak between the pipes, but we'll see. My prediction is that with our increased speed will come powerplays as our opponents will be a clutchin an a grabbin. Second prediction: our top goal scorer will have 10 more points than Wilson did last year primarily due to the increase in PP opportunities and sreading the ice with that speed. We win the conference by 6 points.

What says you?

It is included with your reserved seat tickets.
