Plattsburgh State Hockey - 2009/2010

Re: Plattsburgh State Hockey - 2009/2010

No doubt - I have suggested an online ticketing system but that kinda fell flat. A prototype was actually in place, but it seems interest fell flat.

How many seats/stands will be available at the door this year after all is said and done?

Re: Plattsburgh State Hockey - 2009/2010

So, for a Plattsburgh native and college hockey fan going to school down in Albany, what are my chances of getting tickets for games? I don't want to spend the $$ on a train up to plattsburgh, and get turned away at the door!!!

best thing to do would be to have a friend/family member get your tickets during the week that way you know you have one when you get there....

This is solid advice. The lines were bad enough last year; this year will be insanity. I think Emery should line us up with a January road trip and schedule a game vs. UMass Boston or Becker before they dismantle the rink at Fenway.
Obviously nowhere near feasibility, but how much of a blast would that be?

If you don't have anyone who can get tickets for you, drop me an email a week before the games you wanna catch. I will be more than happy to help out a fellow Cardinal fan.

Thanks for the offer! I think I'm all set for most games, but if I run into any problems, I'll definitely let you know in advance!

Re: Plattsburgh State Hockey - 2009/2010

Just noticed that all the goaltenders are freshmen which is sort of unusual. Come Primelink time it will be interesting to see how they respond in prime time.

With Hince moving on, and Molinaro graduating the only other goalie from last year was Dickson (who never saw the ice).....

Re: Plattsburgh State Hockey - 2009/2010

Well not everyone can read a crystal ball to know that the "would have been" junior was going pro....?? You should go to Vegas for sure. It was pretty certain from a month or two after the season all three would be freshman... Hince did just fine his freshman year come "prime time". I've heard at least two of these guys will be ready to step right in.

Re: Plattsburgh State Hockey - 2009/2010

Unless I'm horribly misreading this, it looks like 13 freshman and 15 upperclassmen. Especially with 3 freshman goaltenders, that does appear to cast doubt on the team's season. Looks to me like more of a rebuilding year, but I could be wrong... (and certainly hope I am) :D

I don't think I would be to worried about it.... Emery doesn't usually bring in classes that aren't capable of filling some skates.

Re: Plattsburgh State Hockey - 2009/2010

Not on original recruit list:
23 Kyle Warneke, Fwd - Previous Team: Canmore Eagles (AJHL)

Former Cardinal Jimmy Powers was Kyle's youth coach and recommended PSU to him. I will be posting a q&a with Kyle on the site this afternoon. While he is sort of a walkon, I would think he will make the team seeing as he was on both the preseason roster Coach Emery gave me and the one on Plattsburgh State's official site.
