Plattsburgh State Hockey - 2009/2010

Re: Plattsburgh State Hockey - 2009/2010

Norwich and Plattsburgh State have already met twice this season, both at Kreitzberg Arena, with the Cadets winning in a shootout in the finals of the PrimeLink Great Northern Shootout and then skating to a 4-1 victory.

"We can't be just happy to be there," said Emery. "Norwich is tough at home and we haven't beaten them this season. We're looking forward to playing them on neutral ice."

I think that's a big thing to remember - this is their first meeting outside of Kreitzberg this year. We're on Neutral ice now, anything's possible. Go Cards!

Emery on "The Goal" - Quoted from Behind the Bench.

"People asked me after the game, I said don't know how Docking got open in front? I don't know how it happend? I was talking to one of the defensemen - all game long, reminding the defensemen to keep it out, keep it out! I looked up. The draw had already taken place. I looked up and Docking was in front. Obviously I watched it on video just before I came over here. Kudroch gets gets kicked out of the draw. Docking takes the draw, wins the draw. It goes back to Taylor. Docking goes right to the net, behind the Middlebury defense. Taylor does a great job getting the puck through. Docking tips it. Yanchek goes to make the save. Yanchek makes the save and goes to get on it, smother it, tie it up and Docking pulls it around him."

I just watched Docking's OT winner on WCAX about five times. It seemed that after losing the draw, Martin Drolet proceeded to move toward the point. Was he trying to block Taylor's shot? I don't know. It's true, Docking did slip right behind the defense unnotticed. Comments on the goal/game?

With the amount of cheering fans Norwich will bring, and the amount of non cheering fans Plattsburgh will have...it will still seem like its a Kreitzberg...

Ahh, Brucey has his congregation well trained – sit properly in your pew and don’t make any noise.

He wins this round with me as I will still have over a dozen staples still in...won't get too much screaming out of me this final four. I remember even against SNC in the Championship game a few years ago people remained sitting even for the introductions....sad...

From the "Enjoy it While You Can" Dept.:

Well at least we seem to have put a stop to all that "you can't beat a great team three times in a year" talk... ;)

Did we beat a great team though? ;) :D

All kidding aside, Platty is a great team and will cause Norwich problems assuming their D shows up to play...

Re: Plattsburgh State Hockey - 2009/2010

I will say it again :

Plattsburgh is arguably the least talented of the remaining teams , no place to go but up ;) ;)

we are lucky to be in such rare air .....:D

And if you believe this Cardinal Sin has some swamp land in Chazy that he will sell you cheap!

Re: Plattsburgh State Hockey - 2009/2010

What a workman like effort from the entire program last night. This group of athletes are pure "blue collar gems ".

The argument can be made that this is the "least talented "of the final four teams but I have no doubt in my mind that this team will come with a "we can win attitude " because I think the collective work effort is very troubling to more talented opponents.

Wick , here we come again . Everyone in the country knows you are the more talented team ........... no pressure though :D :D

Lets get every able bodied fan of Cardinal Hockey in the stands Friday night , tell your friends , your neighbors , anybody who will listen about this
group of hard working gritty grinders who have made it to the final 4 despite being too young and not as talented as the rest of the remaining teams.

Lets blow the roof off the Herb Brooks Arena Friday , get people off the couch , do it .......call your friends ,

These guys deserve it

You Bet!!!! Let's DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just heard on WIRY... there is a sendoff for the Cards at 5:30pm tonight behind the fieldhouse.

Re: Plattsburgh State Hockey - 2009/2010

Maybe they will join this ;) (From post 711 above).

Also, from the Plattsburgh Press-Republican: PSU hockey fans organizing team sendoff

This

BLUFF POINT GOLF RESORT TO OPEN THURSDAY
PLATTSBURGH — Bluff Point Golf Resort will open for the season Thursday, at 9 a.m., with carts allowed.

Greens fees will be $24.95 Monday through Thursday, and $29.95 Friday through Sunday, including cart.

seems more interesting to me. That seems quite early.

Re: Plattsburgh State Hockey - 2009/2010

They figured they would get it ready so Norwich could scrap together a round Saturday morning on their way back to Vermont.;)

I figured it would a good place for Platty to bond on Saturday Morning before they watch NU win the title in the afternoon :)
