HE Women != HE Men. There is actually some big money in the mens conference and the schools involved are not as willing to let a school join it unless they bring something to the table.
Everything is negotiable. UConn would never apply unless it was going all in, full boat. Under that circumstance, HE would find a way to get them in.

But I think we are a few years away from that yet. I suspect that after the Rent is enlarged and the Huskies are filling it regularly, that is when we might see a move.

I am looking forward to this FB season, btw. If they manage to beat Michigan to start the season, they could make some noise in the Big East. I saw the defensive secondary in the spring Blue-White game however. Let's just say that I have my doubts at this point. We'll see ....
