Gawd Brokeyone...this is rich and speaks volumes to the the majority of your posts which mislead the masses. Ice got them from his/her daughter who was actually on the team. They, unlike you...had some skin in the game. No one is going to call a parent out for that. It's the freeloaders like yourself that purport to be supporters of the game while getting season tix comp'd... that will feel the wrath.

Sillywench, excellent points, but if I may...... why offer this preacher a formal role in your inaugural ceremony? I think this act had a lot to do with the whole "guilty by association" charge that many are asserting.

He didn't - it was actually a different 'controversial' black preacher that he offered a role in his inauguration. One who was actually a bit too 'right' for Obama's leftie progressive contingent.

And then there was another one there who actually 'said' the controversial stuff.

Reverend Wright was no where in the mix for inauguration.

Most normal people would pay, REGARDLESS!

I don't think that is a true statement. At least in the U.S., it isn't uncommon for people to accept something when it is freely given. For example, the Gophers frequently have promotions where you can gain free admission if you wear maroon & gold, bring in a certain ad, sign up on Facebook, and the list goes on. The point is that the program wants fans to attend, and they try to come up with ways to encourage attendance. Nobody thinks any less of the support of the people who gain admission without paying. It isn't like they are sneaking in through an unguarded door. With the cost of parking and concessions on campus, the "U" winds up getting some money one way or another.

Always appreciate your input Arm, but my response to this is clearly a case of apples and oranges. No pun intended. Look at the history, trust me, it's there. I can't be bothered. I have never been a stats guy, anyone in their right mind knows the truth. I have no problem with the odd freebee, especially for promotional things and the like. It was the boasting about not paying for two years is what peed me off. At the time, the clown actually thought he was special. Special needs yes, I figured that out long ago. What was his purpose of bringing it up? He should have kept his yap shut. It's not pro hockey. He relies on people forgetting when he screws up, that's why he plays the dementia hand so often. Who cares about the so called wrath of two bleepin' idiots? I thought the issue was revenue lost by the team for every free ticket I received? That is, the non issue being blown up as if it were of some tremendous social injustice. That's been the bone stuck in the craw of the two resident self important wind bags regarding the great ticket fiasco from the start...the lost revenue the team so desperately needs. In either situation seats are given away rather than sold. One in my case, two for the parents of the player. So the issue from the two Canadian zeros isn't the revenue the team so badly needs after all...but rather the source of that revenue...is that it? The team that is so desperately short on cash can certainly absorb the loss of revenue from two tickets given to a players parents, but the $10.00 lost when a player gives me a ticket puts the team in a dire straits financially? Ten dollars is ten dollars. Would the ten dollars out of my pocket be of bigger financial benefit to the team than twenty dollars from parents buying tickets? So the big concern of the two full of themselves blowhards isn't the money the team needs...but whose money it is? You two are so full of crap...day in, day out.

BTW, I don't get "season tix comp'd." Another complete load of bull the likes of which you spew everyday in this forum. "Feel the wrath." what a joke. more like feel the stupidity with each post from the puppet and his puppet master.

How is that even pertinent? The President was raised in a white upper middle class household. I'm sure the preacher's perspective was just as bizarre to him as any other product of a white upper middle class upbringing - like mine. He went to church for wife and kids - he doesn't seem particularly religious to me.

The sermon's are a small part of the whole 'church going' thing. Focusing on a crazy old preachers words born of another generation and experience as a condemnation of a man means that you'd have to go after any number of politicians as many of them seem to have relationships with preachers who are quite non politically correct.

Whats good for the goose is good for the gander, if Brooky is going to call out a politician for their religious believes, than he should recognize the religious believes of the President who referred to Rev Wright as his mentor, the man that he sat in a pew and listened to for 20 years, the man that he quoted in his own book about a sermon that spewed hatred for America and the residence of this great country, that he later claimed he never heard….

Ya probably. I don't pay too much attention to it but I believe Minnesota is the only State presently that has it's goverment services shut down...that can't be good.

Maybe if everyone started paying their way there things might turn around...

couldn't agree with you any more…but as long as over 50% of the people don't pay anything for federal taxes, while 10 % of the people pay approximately 70% of the federal taxes, the country will continue to struggle, especially with out of control spending.
Yes, Minnesota was closed for business for a few days back in late July or early Aug. but they are open and spending once again

yes, I meant beliefs, but obviously your wisdom allowed you to decipher what I meant. So what if Bachman feels that she has a close relationship with G-d, isn't that the goal of Christianity? If she believes that she hears Him on a regular basis, than so what. At least he isn't telling her to blow up a plane or innocent people. To each his own. Again, if Obama can have Wright as his mentor for 20 years, than Bachman can have a close relationship with G-d. Better to have G-d as your mentor than Wright.
