Penn State announced the hiring of Courtney Drennan as an assistant coach. She was an assistant at North Dakota for three years, and Wesleyan for two years, and played her college hockey at Mercyhurst.

The 2014-15 Penn State roster has no seniors, 12 juniors, 4 sophomores, and 7 freshmen. Is it safe to assume that there will be a few more cuts in the junior class after this season, to better even the numbers among the class years?

We prefer to use the term "out recruited" when speaking about juniors not coming back for their season year. And yes, no coach ever wants 12 at Senior Night.

Niagara men made a great run in 2000 winning the programs first NCAA game four years in, I believe they had 15 seniors on the roster.

SNC played in NCHA Championship past two seasons. Similar situation.

Men - Men - and SNC had zero Seniors two years ago, and well over ten this past year.
