Penn State Child Abuse Scandal - Revived

Re: Penn State Child Abuse Scandal - Revived

Just passing by to let everyone know that he wasn't the coach when I went there. He wasn't even on campus. He was coaching UW-Eau Claire.

That article just shows Paterno cared more about football than anything else. How could anyone look at Second Mile (back then at it's mission statement, not now obviously knowing what it became) and dislike it? It was a mentoring program for disadvantaged kids, but Ol' JoePa didn't like it because it took away time from coaching football.

Sarcasm?!

Sarcasm?!
I don't think so, and I can understand that viewpoint. JoePa lived PSU football for 50 years. It was just about all he had. Many of us "called" that his death would be within the year once he got fired, due to his love/need/etc for PSU football.

Fair enough. Thats a shame though. I admit i'm not a fan of kids but i'm all for them getting the help necessary and different kids need different help. He didn't have to be involved but why couldn't he just offer Sandusky his support and that it was a good idea(it was until what became of it) If he didn't like him...why did he keep him around all those years on his staff and then let him hang around the facility upon retirement?

He didn't want to support the organization or Sandusky's involvement in it because he knew all along that Sandusky liked to **** little boys. And still told no one. Have fun burning in hell, JoePa.

Brought the phone in on the tenth, videos handed to the department of public safety on the sixteenth. Six days. Four of those days were from the IT department being slow and not seeing the videos until the fourteenth.

Next?

Seems like they did their due diligence and then reported it. I see nothing that even raises an eyebrow at this point.

Let's be fair here. 4 of those days were the phone sitting in the "in/repair box" while the IT guys played counterstrike.
