Huge shot by Sweden to knock that unknockable rock out. Makes us give up the hammer and only add one.

BTW, this announcer, the Canadian one...he stinks. He keeps saying this or that can't happen and then it does.

I mean, he makes John Madden look astute.

I'm a curling neophyte, but I don't know if I like us blanking the 8th end.

Blank the 8th, US carries the hammer to the 9th down 6-5.

Well, if they only take the 1, they give Sweden the chance to put up 2-3, then the US HAS to match that in the 10th. This gives them the choice to score big in the 9th, or blank it again and get the hammer in the 10th down 1 or 2.

Just because these announcers have said over and over and over and over again that you want to go last in the 8th and 10th.

I like the blank. You can't count on Sweden not scoring in the 9th or 10th, and even so, they'd carry the hammer into extras.

That part of the ice must just be really fast, 3 different throwers have thrown too much weight on the same line. Maybe we can't blame Shuster for this one. :p
