It's also in a place with an average February high of around 53 degrees.

I don't know, I don't think the 2014 logo is all that bad.

The United States has won 2500+ medals in the olympics. Even if you combine all the various forms of Germany (East, West, current) and Russia (Soviet Union and Russia) they each only have roughly 1500. Just thought that was interesting.

As others have pointed out, Zamboni makes electric resurfacers, and I'm with the notion that it's more likely that the politics of the origin of manufacture had more to do with this than anything.

In fact, Zamboni has been making electric resurfacers for at least 13 years, as I used to work at Braemar Arena in Edina, and they replaced an old propane model with an electric Zamboni model in 1997... I also remember Olympia electrics from that vintage that required a cord suspended from the ceiling. Those used to be in service at Seven Bridges Ice Arena in Woodridge, IL, and that facility opened with the units in the mid to late '90's...
