Just in this thread we have heard from a Quinnipiac fan who would attend in Worcester but isn't going to make the extra 100 mile commute to Albany. 200 miles if they advance. Leagues have hosted before and their champion has been placed in other regions. It hasn't been an argument before.

And I know 3 guys from QPac (living in Westchester) who'll go to Albany but not Worcester. Again, I suspect a vote would go to Albany. Does that make a difference to you or not. (Not that there'll be a vote, so it's academic... but I'm interested.)
 
this makes the most sense to me maximizing bracket integrity and attendance.

Albany - Quinnipiac, Lowell, Yale, RIT

Worcester - Providence, Boston College, Harvard, Minnesota-Duluth

Cincinnati - North Dakota, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ferris State

St. Paul- St. Cloud State, Denver, Boston University, Northeastern

I just have a higher threshold for "getting screwed." The total distance really depends on exactly where the fans are located. Those in Fairfield county are probably closer to Albany while those closer to Hartford are closer to Worcester. Students in buses don't give a ****. All I'm saying is that from QPac's persepective it's close to a wash. Even if on balance they'd slightly prefer Worcester (which I doubt) it can't be a big deal, while it would be a pretty big difference to the Boston area fans.

I guess I should add the data point that I'm going either way. (But then I'd fly to St. Paul, too.)

Edit: I had no idea they censored the word that ends the phrase about Scarlett and what he frankly doesn't give.

Albany is the home of the ECAC and Union and RPI are the hosts this year. Albany is also more central to all other the ECAC teams than Worcester. Qpack most likely had to pass through Albany on the way to Lake Placid so they know the way and will not get lost. :D Did RIT upset Minnesota last year? Do you think they can do it again?

As a selfish Bobcat fan I want Worcester because it's 60 miles closer AND is Fri-Sat vs Sat-Sun.

Why should the #1 seed be moved to accommodate the Boston area fans?

For some reason tipcapnews has always struggled with understanding the attendance factor. Quinnipiac to albany would hardly be a screw job.

Harvard is the only eastern team that wouldn't have a good chunk of fans. Not sure how you decided the east regionals will be lightly attended.

If QU gets Albany, Rand Pecknold will likely demand that The Pope moves Easter to Monday. I would rather see the Friday Saturday matchup as well, no way can I attend on Easter.

Close, but you need to move SCSU to Cinci and UND to St. Paul. That maximizes attendance and maintains integrity. Wouldn't put SCSU with the higher 2 and 3 seeds.

Quinnipiac fans will be in either albany or worcester. Can't say the same for SCSU and the two western regionals. Scsu deserves st. Paul in that regard. If they get sent to cincy, then THAT is a screw job.

No, because Sioux fans will go to either place...less likely that as many SCSU fans go to Cinci.

One attendance item that i am sure will still be an issue (haven't looked up prices yet) is pricing out fans, including neutrals, who are within driving distance but don't wanna pay the ridiculous prices.
