Oswego vs Plattsburgh "The Whiteout game"

Re: Oswego vs Plattsburgh "The Whiteout game"

I knew you were just asking for this to be shared again.

Brilliant!

Re: Oswego vs Plattsburgh "The Whiteout game"

Guess the Friday games played out just as expected. 5-1 Oswego, 4-1 Plattsburgh. The showdown is now 20 hours, 29 minutes, and counting...

Re: Oswego vs Plattsburgh "The Whiteout game"

They did almost all of them at Cornell last night, too.

What time is the gathering at Greene's tonight? I got about a half dozen coming with me.

Re: Oswego vs Plattsburgh "The Whiteout game"

In order to continue preparations for the broadcast tonight... John and I walked through the campus center on our way to the WTOP studio and there were people line up. This was at 2:00. We asked the first people in line what time they got there - they said 11:00. FANTASTIC! Course, if they were any kind of ambitious they would use the tunnels etc to get into the rink to watch the club hockey game currently going on and then try to stay... not that I'm advocating that, or that it would work, it would just be entertaining to see.

Re: Oswego vs Plattsburgh "The Whiteout game"

Hey guys what's the video link for tonight's game? And what time does it start? Last year I watched it and I believe the pregame began around 6:30.

Re: Oswego vs Plattsburgh "The Whiteout game"

I heard these at RIT last night....pretty good little DIII program they have there.

Uh what's with this cold?

Tell me about it.

I had to take pictures at an downhill ski race this morning at 9:30 at Royal Mountain.

Temperature? a balmy -3.

Try taking pictures of skiers going 40-50 mph with your finger and toes numb....Not easy!

Off to cover a high school basketball game and then hopefully I'll be getting back right in time for the pre-game to start at 6pm!

Re: Oswego vs Plattsburgh "The Whiteout game"

Time for my prediction. I wish I was down there but I have family stuff tonight.

I think the key will be who establishes themselves early. I know the stats say Oswego has blown leads, but I think scoring first will be key. If Platty gets up, that will put pressure on the Lakers because I think it will be a case of here we go again.

Both teams have been playing well, and I hope it lives up to the hype. That being said. I am taking Oswego 4-3 in a great contest. Good luck to both teams.

Re: Oswego vs Plattsburgh "The Whiteout game"

I don't think it will ever be a question of "Here we go again!" with this team. They are not the players who lost in the past, most of these guys have played Plattsburg once and won. A whole new attitude on this team this year.

Re: Oswego vs Plattsburgh "The Whiteout game"

Just an update...

I spoke with SAVAC and they said the 'emergency' was a player in the locker room drying a glove under a heater and it caught fire.

So old news...

The Prez cracked the case with the help of Ozz in the score update thread;)

The "player" was Eric Selleck.

Re: Oswego vs Plattsburgh "The Whiteout game"

Well, that was fun

Of course we had to have that evacuation TONIGHT of all nights... now I've seen everything.

Selleck's on fire all the time, so the glove decided to take it literally to the next level.

It didn't look like the same Oswego team out there tonite, but Plattsburgh never could deliver the clap. Even as nerve-racking as the last 10 minutes were, Oswego still dumped the puck and kept it away plenty. Regardless, they sat on the lead, and survived. I never experienced a lack of of oxygen like that to the brain before, but heck: the curse is dead, and the Lakers have delivered the regular season sweep. Well done.

Just out of curiosity, did anyone else see that ugly Platty kid spit on a rally towel on the fan cam? How classy ;) .

I was awed when the "beauty" spit in the towel!

Was that the Cardinal goalie stick laying in front of the open net at the end of the game on Dormiedy's attempt at the open netter?
