Think again! When I visit the Fieldhouse this afternoon, I will think of your comment and enjoy looking at ALL the many SUNYAC AND NCAA banners there and they will fill me with great pride and happiness for the success of their program. Maybe in ten or twenty years, you can know what that feels like.

Got to agree Birds...pretty powerful statements coming from a team that's choked more then won.....I've heard of counting your eggs before they hatch, but these eggs arnt even a twinkle in their fathers eye just yet.....there comes a point when Oswego winning is more of a surprise then choking in the playoffs....sorry Laker fans I know most of you have some of a hockey brain....

I cringed when I first read that post last night. Oswego, Plattsburgh, Norwich, etc don't need to run their mouths, their history speaks for them, and those posts are reserved for other threads. Plattsburg begins their playoffs this Friday. We'll see if Genny is ready to go early with Plattsburg getting the cycle going, blocking every shot, and waiting for their opening. My concern after the Cards loss... Oswego having to play a "Wounded Bird"

I apologize if my comments came off harshly. I only meant that I want Oswego to do better than their rival this year. I have immense respect for Platty and everything they've accomplished over the years. A quick look at the "banner count" gives you a reminder of how far behind Oswego is from Plattsburgh historically. But just like I would always prefer Oswego to beat Plattsburgh 5-1 in a game instead of 4-1, if Oswego can beat Platty in the regular season and the post-season I would like that too. Oswego has a lot of catching up to do if they hope to match Plattsburgh's accomplishments anytime in the next 20 years.

Oh and my name comes from the band, not the dog.

There goes my assumption that you were a young kid. I think I still have a Toto IV album in the milk crate in the attic

There actually is a fair amount of debate over the band name's origin. It was joked about being named after the dog in the early days, but the band members have since come up with other stories to explain it. The Wikipedia article explains some of it:

I never knew they had so many different members. Certainly more drummers then my favorite band Spinal Tap. Rumor is Eric Selleck was listening to "Smell the Glove" when his glove caught fire........
And since we are discussing bands made up of session players, one has to mention Steely Dan.
