Aid does not lower tuition. Regardless of aid, tuition is a set price. Aid helps to defray the cost of tuition (and other expenses), but it does not change what tuition price shown on a given student's bill.
It is simply a matter of semantics.
you strike me as the kind of guy who falls for those infomercials, buying a vacuum cleaner that's listed for $500 for but on sale for 3 easy payments of $20, and since you acted right away you got a second one free. But you'll tell all your friends that you just bought $1,000 worth of vacuum cleaners.
