Oswego State 2010 Off-Season Thread: "Say it Ain't so Neil"

Re: Oswego State 2010 Off-Season Thread: "Say it Ain't so Neil"

I never saw McFall...Was he back during your years at Oz?

Last really good offensive d-man that had the complete package IMHO was Joe Carrabs.

He was on the 2003 team and I think he graduated in 2004ish?

Tommy was my d partner my senior yr, GREAT on the O side and not to bad on the D side, I think we went 15 games w/out having a goal scored on us.....more important he was a great guy on and off the ice.........except for the tobacco chewing ........LOL

Thank you for informing me that DIII is no longer in the Hobey Baker award which is to bed. When I was with the team Robby Duke was nominated in 88. He was a thrill to watch and the man could just make anyone better by just being on the ice. A great team player and I think alot of the team's players could have learned alot from him. I was told that he might be moving back to the Cuse area. I hope that Coach reaches out to him for he is just a really great player.

Duky was a funny kid didnt say much, but he had a funny quote when he joined the team, as a transfer from D1 Alaska, he said man it is cold here at Oswego...smooth skater and goal scorer..........

Re: Oswego State 2010 Off-Season Thread: "Say it Ain't so Neil"

Some of the players did that while I was at Oswego and I just didn't get it.

I can't think of a more disgusting habit then that.:o :(

i hear ya, a lot of brown spots on the ice during practice........and many spilled cups in the locker room and the bus........give me cigar anytime

Some of the SNC players not dressed were doing it in their suits while watching their team play for the National Championship....

Re: Oswego State 2010 Off-Season Thread: "Say it Ain't so Neil"

Breaker Breaker we have a Hijacked thread :D :D :D

My two cents, I hate chew. It's just nasty and a lot of my friends that do it use soda bottles for spit. I've seen people pick it up and make the fatal error.

Anyways, I do think we need to start looking for some good roleplayers that will do some dirty work. We have a lot of pieces there, but you can't replace guys like Musselwhite and Dormiedy.

One night at Greene's, for whatever reason, I decided I'd try it. There was a certain former Laker captain there who was "coaching" me. His instructions were as follows:

1. Take a big pinch between your index finger and thumb.

2. Tuck it between your bottom lip and gum.

3. Clench bottom lip and suck in all the juice that you can.

4. Swallow.

I never apologized to Jabber for what I did to that bathroom a few seconds later.

I'll do it now: sorry, Jab.

P.S. For those who didn't grab a copy of last Saturday's Post-Standard, here is a link to my write-up on the semifinal. Covering the game for them was a blast, and I hope to use it as a stepping stone to eventually write for therobbrennan.com.
