I am a Yankee fan and want Sterling dead.

Went to the game tonight at the historic Sage Rink. Much better turnout than the game I called there two years ago, but I found Hamilton students annoying.

Mather truly does appear to be feeling shame after his 5 minute boarding penalty.

This is a complete guess, but it could be Guy Hebert, their former goal that made it pro with the Blues, Ducks, and Rangers.

Not very much talent amongst the Hamilton crowd?

When I was there for the Elmira/Hamilton game last year I was quite pleased with the talent:cool:

The best puck bunnies are in Hobart bar none! I almost felt bad yelling back at those girls.

In most years I agree with you hands down. However, my last trip to the Cooler was a sour one. I saw exactly one puck bunny who had a lot going for her but normally Hobart is similar to the Labatt Blue Light commercials:cool: Throw that on top of the fact Elmira shut out Hobart and I didnt even get to hear Brass Bonanza and you've got one p/oed Prez:mad:

I found out later that the students were on break relieving me a little bit that Hobart didnt drop off the map that quickly but still.

Thoroughly disappointed with my trip to the Cooler this year.:o

Maloney - thanks for posting those pix. I always want to know what the other rinks look like in D-III. Only road games I went to in my days were Geneseo, Brockport, and Elmira. I've been to Manhattanville a couple times, since that is down here just outside NYC.

The girls were talented, particularly the one in the white sweater sitting near the Hebert shrine. But the on the other side were sloppy. What is it about alcohol that so effectively eliminates a woman's inside voice?

I brought my dad out for his first game of the season and we sat -- at first -- in the first row next to the Oswego penalty box. There were two seats in the row. He stayed there during the first intermission to hold the seats while I hit up the concession stand. I returned to find him sitting next to a blond who was wearing this on her head. We moved. She was such a Cont.

Back in the day, when rowdy was truly rowdy, we would have to get to Sage rink an hour early to fill in the spots above where our players would come off & on the ice to keep the students from Hamilton from spitting on our players.

Ducky could have easily edited this out of the highlights on his "Behind The Bench" recap segment, but to his credit he did not. I'm still amazed that -- in 37 years -- that's the first time Mr. Drake stuck the fork in too early.

Nice photos of the old rink. When did they remodel it. For the last time I was in it you had to watch from above and inside was painted a very dark color.
