Oswego Lakers 2023-24...Light The Lamp.....Lets go Lakers!!!!!!!!

Just glad that the Lakers don't have to play Elmira the Laker Killers anymore this year. Please let me know what the score was for I have seen 2 different scores. On Elmire/Oswego men's hockey site, and USCHO score boards last nights game was 2 - 1 for Elmira. On Utica's stream I saw a score of 7 - 1 Elmira. I read the box score for the latter and the Lakers gave up 4 special team goals. This included 2 short handed. Regardless, the coaching staff has to figure out this special teams stuff. Giving up more PP goals than what we are scoring does not lead to a winning season. I have been saying that the PPK that Oswego runs for a long time is just to soft. I can't wait for winter break to see if Santa can give the coaching staff some solutions. Otherwise the Lakers will play out the 25 games and 1 SUNY playoff game and be done for the season. Not going to win much playing straight up hockey and not scoring more than 2 goals at best. This is sad to say for I think that this is a group of young men who do play and hustle hard for the most part.

It was in fact 7-1 one of the great gifts (and curses) of going to every game live this year. Absolute brutal 4 hour road trips from oz to Elmira and Utica this year
 
Well I guess we can be thankfullllllllllll that the weekend is over ;-))) and I have bunch of leftovers.......Not much else to say that has not been sad ;-((((((.....We can keep the ship afloat with an inspired North Country weekend, if not, how does our club team look????....Let's get it going boys....Go Lakers!!!!!!!
 
I thought we would at least win the consolation game..2-0 lead, two defensive lapses later and it's 2-2 and I moved on to college football....Liked the Johnnies PBP guy however.

It was Ray. Perhaps he did some pinch hitting for St. John’s because they couldn’t send their crew east or didn’t want to pay/couldn’t afford it…or their regular crew maybe just had Thanksgiving plans and wanted to hang with family.
 
wins a win..couple of PPg's at the end otherwise looked like a sloppy game, with a few good passing plays from Oz..........The will have their hands full with the 9-0 birds tonight.....Go Lakers!!!
