Still can't get over how BA this entrance is. :)

Prez:

Stevens Point has an entrance like this....and that is typically where the highlights end.

Point has a great video from a few years ago from I think an SNC game where they have a whiteout and everyone is amped up as the guys come out on the ice. It's a pretty sweet entrance video as well.

Re: Oswego 2011 Playoff and Offseason Thread: Hips and Nips or We Don't Win!

shouldn't you be at a LAX final...?;)
Well - it is 99 in the sun, the humidity is up. The A/C and HDTV are just fine.

But family stuff prohibited us from going to the D-III final last night. The Salisbury goaltender used to play youth hockey with my youngest (and just to keep with the spirit of the moment, JRod was a transfer from Limestone).

Hogwash! Guy played like 6 games for Quinnipiac, and then went back to the Juniors for a year where he was remarkably unremarkable. That's not really a DI transfer :p

I think I will reserve my opinion until I actually see the guy in net. We have all seen goalies come in from time to time, could name a few schools, that turned out to be quite good for their team. Competition is always advantageous.

Still No exhibition game scheduled, wouldnt the team want to get that game in b4 Elmira, and as another poster mentioned the game is usually a sellout ,the last 2 were, so a few extra bucks never hurts.Anybody with an inside scoop?????

Re: Oswego 2011 Playoff and Offseason Thread: Hips and Nips or We Don't Win!

Yes but the reason why it was a sell out was because it was family and friends weekend...not because of the opponent. Except for maybe the US 18U Team...none of those games would have sold out.

The Elmira game is family and friends weekend now and its going to be brutal to get tickets to.

What's worse is that I work at a newspaper now and it's like pulling teeth to get time off to go to the land Oz because it's smack in the middle of high school and local college sports season.

One non-related point, I was hoping we'd be smart enough not to schedule a NESCAC team in the opening round of our tourney, but I guess they don't listen.

Conn. College is NOT Hamilton or Amherst. :)

Easy mountie...haha.

I know, Prez. However, if I see a trend. I try to avoid it. I'd schedule Framingham State or Finlandia, :D

Unfortunately those schools don't do poop for Oswego's strength of schedule...scheduling Conn. College atleast gives them a game against a team in the New England region which could be beneficial for Pool C/NCAA rankings.

Isn't Framingham in Massachusetts?

Do you mean avoiding a team who has a bad SoS?? :D
