Open Wheel Racing 2021, anyone there to watch?

I think it looks way worse because it hits right as an overtake is impending and right on that screen on Croftycast. Good decision but tell the peasants, they've burned the barn.

I put my torch and pitchfork away pretty quickly yesterday. If the drivers and teams aren’t mad how can I be? After digging into it more today it is pretty obvious it was the right call.

The rare "I learned something today" on the interwebs. You are an officer and a gentleman! I wish I had that degree of maturity on about... oh... 20k posts?

Verstappen bounced in Q1 for the first time since 2021, first time ever without a power failure. Both Racing Bulls are in the top ten, though! Bearman continues doing well.

And RBR makes a LOT of changes so that Max finishes on the podium after a pit lane start. Granted, he was gifted heavily by the SC, but still.

Oscar made kind of a clumsy move, even though the spot was open- cost him points to Max.

Another good weekend for Haas.

For those that want an interesting view of the Vegas race tonight, the Nevada DOT traffic cameras are active:

Confirmed. McLaren gets a double DQ.

Lando: 390
Piastri: 366
Max: 366
Pretty massive blunder by McLaren- it's not as if everyone could easily see that these cars are hitting the ground a lot more often this weekend. Maybe they thought the race would be wet and slow? But the team is doing their best to hand this to max.

What it did to just this race is fun too. Both Haas cars pointed after initially being 11 and 12, and Kimi snagged a podium after one stopping on lap 2. 😆
Geez, Charles really screwed the pooch there- he should have easily been close enough to bag 3rd after the penalty. Or Piastri screwed the pooch for him.
