Well, I really thought Senna would end up at Lotus. I just don't get why he's not being given a greater chance to prove himself. After all he acquitted himself very well considering he has only been racing seriously for about 5 years...

2. check this rumor out: Question: So rumor has it from a pretty reliable source that Kurt Busch and Jimmie Johnson are possibilities for Indy in May. What is your take on this and how do you think they would complete in good equipment if they do? (Jon, Sullivan, Ind.)
Answer: I just don’t see it. It would take away from what they’re trying to accomplish in NASCAR.
Now this is the second or third time I've heard Jimmie Johnson linked to Indy.
In ONE way it makes sense to me. A sense of history combined with already doing everything one can do in one series. Really he's got nothing left to prove to nascar and he'll never make it up there w/Mario Andretti, A.J. Foyt or even the likes of Parnelli Jones and Dan Gurney if he doesn't win in more than one type of car
thoughts?
Plain and simple...age and $. Too old and not enough of it.
I wouldn't get any hopes up for this... IndyCar basically gave NASCAR drivers the finger by moving the start time of the 500 back to mid-afternoon in 2006... They had Robby Gordon and Tony Stewart both interested, but the logistics killed it... I don't see them going back to the late morning start to accomodate this, even if it is Stars like JJ, Tony, and Busch... Although Robby being back at Indy would be a nice excuse to head back down for the race.... I know he wants to do the double again, and with the right people, I think he can be competitive...
and finally, Austin submits their track proposal http://en.espnf1.com/usracing/motorsport/story/36700.html
Looks like another Hungary. UGH
Austin track - looks like turn is a for sure place to pass, and possibly 12. They should smooth out turns 16, 17 and 18 into a single circular tightening shape.
I don't mind it. I think there are three sections where overtaking can occur. The elevation change going into turn one should be awesome for the race start.
In the more good news category....Kanaan signs with de Ferran Dragon racing.
Linky
It's good to see Tony stay in the paddock. He deserves a ride.
I think Turns 1, 11, and 12 are all places for overtaking.
I agree on the last section. I think they could modify the section that includes turns 16 - 19 and make a better track and possibly another overtaking spot.
So there are recommended drastic changes to the 2013 rules. It will be interesting to see how it plays out....
2013 Rule Recommendations
Not to mention that the FIA wants to go to a smaller engines too.
In Indycar good news...
Simona gets a sponsor!
In the best news I have heard in a while category....... F1 will now be broadcast in HD everywhere! Yay! Now more of that crap feed that Speed has been getting.
That feed last year on the 52" plasma was almost unwatchable. I had to watch on a smaller tv in the bedroom. The next big ? is does SPEED have an HD channel? I don't get in in my neck of the woods...
IndyCar....Edmonton is back on the schedule, there will be double file restarts on ovals, the 2012 engine is a 2.2L, not 2.4L as planned originally. All these developments are on the positive side of the ledger. Sounds like they consulted with the engine mfger's prior to the change, which was smart. The best thing I read is the 2012 may be on the test track in July.
