Re: Olympics Part V: The Search for Gold

It seems like Canada is either not playing well or Slovakia doesn't feel like getting dominated like every other team that plays Canada. I just feel like Canada should be winning by more than they are. If they play like this against USA, they can hand USA their gold medals. This is a boring game.

Slovakia's a better team than those Canada beat the crap out of.

They're just not good enough. :( Going in it was obvious they were going to get outshot 40-20 and have to get all the bounces -- they might win 1 of 10. So far, this game is one of the 9.

I'm pretty sure this is Ohno's last Olympics, so why not say whatever you want? It's not like the IOC or USOC can do anything to him next Monday.

Gaborik and Demitra is like Gretzky and Kurri.

"We want the USA" with 14 minutes left. If there are hockey gods, I hope they were listening.

When did this become an SLU thread?

I find it hard to sympathize with Ohno, who should be awarded a lifetime achievement gold medal in whining.

Really? For the most part Ohno rarely complains. It's not like he's from South Korea.
