Re: Olympics Part V: The Search for Gold

It seemed like she didn't miss a shot in the tourney until that last one in the 10th end.

Sweden placed an incredible shot with their last rock in the 11th end. Canada just missed topping it with their last rock.

Re: Olympics Part V: The Search for Gold

And here comes the gratuitous BS about how great Canada is at hockey....

That's two missed shots when they counted most.

And how... We were out at dinner and I wanted to watch the end of curling. "The Canadian Cougar should end this right here," I said.

Nope. Another round of drinks on me to watch the end of the match :D Too bad, I know ;)

What a STEAL by Sweeden

Certainly shows the importance of the skip/four. 1-3, I thought Canada was clearly better. The Cougar was very good -- no Debbie McCormick -- but Norberg was absolutely clutch, particularly in the last two ends.

Slovaks are playing a game Cornell fans are very familiar with... :p

It was a monumental choke by Canada. I thought in the 11th Canada should have forced Sweden to make the great shot and gone for the double guard instead of taking out Sweden's guard.

Canada goal under review.

If this is overturned people are going to throw things.

Re: Olympics Part V: The Search for Gold

Goal stands. Sharks fans everywhere want to know where this Patrick Marleau and this Dan Boyle are when the NHL playoffs start.

Re: Olympics Part V: The Search for Gold

2 kids in USA Hockey gear were waving for that to be a goal. They apparently didn't get the memo.
