Ohio State Buckeyes 2023-24 The Muzzinator Gonna Muzzinate!!

I only have two concerns about the promised arena and that is if it is built that it properly reflects the achievements coach Nadine has brought to our program and her input is given priority. Second, that the delays on what was promised to coach don't upset her that she would consider moving on.
My only problem with our current barn is not everyone who wants to come to our games can get tickets with our limited seating and the bleachers absolutely kill mine and my wife's backs. You won't find a single player recruited by coach who would say they had any reservations coming here because of our facilities. They come here because of Nadine and her staff's achievements and she is genuine, our players and prospects absolutely believe and trust her.

I once attended a Buckeyes/Mavericks game at All-Seasons. ...

Never been to a Lindenwood game on their campus. But hiding the puck under the boards? Wow. Metal staircase? Bet the staff in charge of skate sharpening loved that feature of the building.
Sorry for the confusion; the bad zamboni door and the locker room to ice challenges were still about All-Season Arena in Mankato. Like you, I've never watched a game at Lindenwood.

Got it. You made treks down to Mankato to see the Mavs host Lindenwood on one occasion, and the Mavs host the Gophers on another occasion. Admittedly the original post didn't really match my reading of it. Thanks for clarifying.

On the substantive side, your clarification makes it even clearer that the Mavs simply had to move. Atmosphere & Fan Experience are important. But Safety > Atmosphere.

On the topic of player of the year I've watched incoming recruit Josie St.Martin and feel she's very similar to Joy on the ice and if she lives up to her potential I'll bet she could be next seasons freshman player of the year.

It was great seeing Joy get WCHA Rookie of the Year! She has been fun to watch this season, along with our other first-year players. Based on the other player of the year picks and the all-WCHA Teams, Nadine should win the WCHA Coach of the Year award in a landslide since the league doesn't think our players are that good. Can't have it both ways. If the league is going to say our players aren't that good, then our coach must be the best coach in the league, hands-down.

She reminds me of Jocelyn Amos. Cannot wait to get her in here and see her in Scarlet & Gray!

Amos has that Liz Shepherds attitude and leads by example. As a freshman it incredibly impressive. The young talent and incoming talent is going to be fun to watch. I really love Baxter's game as well. Fleming has been strong and focused in her development. It's an enlightening experience to be a freshman on this current roster.

How many freshmen have the opportunity to be part of a program that will be annual contenders for conference and national champions? It's quite an honor and quite the recruitment attraction.

This comment made me idly curious about how many freshmen on the Ohio State roster actually won a national championship as a freshman. (As opposed to how many on the current UW roster who have done so - 13)

And surprisingly - unless I'm reading something wrong, and I could be - the answer is "zero"? Nobody on the 2021-22 roster who was a freshman that year is still on the roster? Honestly, I did not intend to actually post something here, until I came up with that answer. Is that really the case? Am I missing someone?

(The wiseguy part of the answer is there is one player on the current OSU roster who won a natty as a freshman - Makenna Webster.)

It's a different era now. Duluth, Minnesota and Wisconsin are no longer the Big Three in the conference.
I say in all confidence Ohio State is now the team to beat, not only in the WCHA but the entire country. As a fan of an opponent you may find it an inconvenient truth but the truth it is.

Is it the case that no 2021-22 freshman is still on the roster? Did I not miss someone? Even with all the transfers, etc, I would have expected there to be two or three.

(As for the rest, since the "new era" of Muzerall started with her first final four team in 2018, Clarkson has one championship, Ohio St has one, and Wisconsin has three. So there's that.)

Don't be interrupting the duckies and bunnies fest that exists here with facts like that.
