Ohio State Buckeyes 2023-24 The Muzzinator Gonna Muzzinate!!

Found a nice video about Buckeye forward Hannah Bilka that was done by the Dallas Stars for National Women & Girls in Sports Day. She is an amazing player and it has been so much fun to watch her play for the Bucks!

There's also a story with the Muzzinator and Kelsey from the Blue Jackets.

Thoroughly enjoyed both links. Thanks guys!

I’m laughing because as a message board group we * just * talked about playing nice.

ANYWAY.

The way I made internet peace with pgp-ohio and Hockybuckeye reminded me of the scene from the Godfather where tDon makes peace at the meeting of the 5 families. The only unscripted part is Seirra tries assassinating Robert and I outside the meeting room after the peace was made!

Well, the actual St. Patrick's Day is Sunday, March 17th. So I would say for the 1st Round Game, St. Patrick's Day is totally irrelevant.

As for Saturday, March 16th, the holiday will take over Suburban Dublin (NW Side) But Dublin is a pretty orderly community, and wouldn't rank very high on the chaos scale. Perhaps it's similar to Mentor? And it's not on your route anyhow.

Downtown Columbus will undoubtedly celebrate; and I presume High Street near campus also will. But honestly, if you access campus from SR315 and use the Lane Avenue Exit, I bet you won't notice any holiday traffic at all.

As always, check to see if there's an event at the Schottenstein Center. Plan accordingly. But that should be it.

thanks that’s helpful! Ultimately I learned Pittsburgh also does their parade on the 16th so I’m venturing over there on the 17th assuming any busy ness will have calmed down. I will not be in attendance at OSU but have no doubt that if they earn the opportunity to host, it will be packed.

Ohio State defeated Minnesota State tonight by a final score of 3-0. The Buckeyes scored all their goals in the first period and that was enough for Buckeye netminder Raygan Kirk as she got the shutout in this one. Scoring for Ohio State were Jocelyn Amos, Jenna Buglioni, and Cayla Barnes. The Buckeyes outshot the Mavericks in this one 33-20. Raygan Kirk stopped all 20 shots she faced in the win. Maverick goaltender Hailey Hansen stopped 30 of the 33 shots she faced. The two teams will wrap up their series tomorrow at 3:00 pm EST. For those in the Columbus area, there will be a watch party at the O on Lane (Lane Avenue, across the street from St. John Arena).

Also, if someone could tell the Minnesota State play-by-play guy that it is Jocelyn A-mos, not Ah-mos, that would be great! (said in my Bill Lumbergh / Office Space voice). LOL

Burst out laughing when I read this! Put another way, LMAO. Bravo for little bits of progress.

Sweet poke check by Raygan to thwart a Maverick breakaway & preserve the shutout.

Sneaky good shot by Cayla to round out the scoring. Not a ton of pace, but perfectly placed in the lower left hand corner.

Fine job by the Buckeye PK tonight. Dominant job, actually. And yup, let's do it again tomorrow.

Question: Is this for every road game? Or only when you announce it?

Gotta admit I'll be watching from home this afternoon. But for the series in Madison? Or the Probable Final Face-Off Trip? Just inquiring about the options.

We’ve been meeting at The O on Lane for just about every away game. We get 6-12 people. Good food, good company, good hockey, great time. We will keep you posted.

We thought that's what he said, confusing.

Today, she apparently changed her name to Natalie Muzerall. Also, our defender who wears #4 has apparently changed her last name from Markowski to Markowitz. Gotta love these completely unprofessional announcers when we are on the road who, for whatever reason, don't bother to read rosters or pronunciation guides. Then again, the substitute announcer we had last week said that Stephanie Markowski was from Edmonton, Alabama. Good grief, really?!? I'll have to ask Stephanie what it was like growing up and playing ice hockey in Edmonton, Alabama. I don't know if our regular announcer, Rick Bannister, reads this stuff (probably not), but Rick, you were sure missed last weekend vs Bemidji! We sorely missed hearing "Buckeye Goal ... BUCKEYE GOAL ... etc.", and we would have gotten to hear that 20 times last weekend!

Enough about announcers, the Buckeyes completed the sweep of Minnesota State earlier today by a final score of 6-2. Minnesota State came out with a determined effort and scored the only goal of the first period to take a 1-0 lead into the first intermission. The Maverick goal was scored by Whitney Tuttle. The second period was all Ohio State as the Bucks came roaring back with three goals of their own from Kiara Zanon, Jenna Buglioni, and Joy Dunne, to take a 3-1 lead into the final intermission. Ohio State was not done as they tacked on three more goals from Lauren Bernard, Hadley Hartmetz, and Stephanie Markowski, to take a 6-1 lead. Minnesota State would get a late goal with less than a minute to play from Claire Vekich to make the final score 6-2 in this one. Ohio State enjoyed a 41-19 shots-on-goal advantage. Buckeye goaltenders Amanda Thiele and Lexi Secreto combined to stop 17 of the 19 shots they faced in the win. Maverick netminders Suzette Faucher and Hailey Hansen combined to stop 35 of the 41 shots they faced. Ohio State will return home for Senior Weekend next weekend against St. Thomas. Minnesota State will host Bemidji State next weekend.

Pgb, thanks for asking! Normally, the watch parties are for every away game, Friday night and Saturday afternoon. The only time they don't have them are for the Friday afternoon games when most of us are working (like the game at St. Cloud a couple weekends ago). I don't know if you are on any social media platforms, but if you are, look for the Celly Club pages (Facebook, Instagram, X...formerly Twitter). Mrs. 86 and I have been going to the Saturday watch parties. I don't get off work until 6:00 pm on Friday nights, so for those games, we just watch from home, but we try to make it to the Saturday watch parties. There were five of us today, and there were ten of us at one of the watch parties. O on Lane has good food and it's reasonably priced. Plus, on Friday nights after the games, you can still get everything on the menu. I finally met the owner today, great guy! He puts the games on four or five screens, and turns on the sound. He is "all in" on being the official watch party place for OSU Women's Hockey. I will try to get on here and let you know if you are not on the other social media platforms, but unless the Friday games are afternoon games, the watch parties for both days are generally on. I am guessing there will be quite a few at the Wisconsin watch parties in a couple weekends.

BK, thanks, you beat me to it! Great seeing you and the others today! We really took it to them after that first period. Great weekend for the girls!

Information about OSU @ Wisconsin weekend series February 23-24.
According to WCHA website:
Friday game starts at 8pm and is on BIG10+
Saturday game starts at 9pm and is on BIG10 Network which usually means it will not be on BIG10+

Hopefully this helps in deciding where you will watch the games.

Thanks to both you & '86 for the replies. One last question. Are the games always on, regardless of which channel?

I do have home access to both B1G+ (Hockey Subscription) & BTN. It is annoying when BTN games aren't available in the B1G+ Library. But obviously programing the DVR can fully address that problem.

Anyhow, access isn't my issue. It just sounds like fun to watch with the group.

These Buckeyes score in bunches. They don't get satisfied; they keep pressing. Nice qualities to have.
