Guys, thanks for all the info on the goalies we have coming in. Sounds like Coach Oz has that department taken care of.

Yes they did! And I may have skipped out on a morning class to see them :p

Since it was more of a team bonding trip, it was hard to get a good look at them although they did run some intense full ice drills. I thought Mason looked really confident in net. Also, Cam Atkinson may be small but that kid is a tank. I think Columbus fans will be surprised by his strength infront of the net.

sooner, rather than later, the players who block out what he trying to teach will be gone. He'll still be here.

I think he gave last year's senior class a lot of credit for making the attempt to change.

Going to the OSU women's game tomorrow night, then it's a doubleheader Saturday ... OSU men and women! Cannot wait!

I used to post quite a bit around these parts and will try to check in every so often to answer any questions I can about the team should the need arise, and I'll be covering them throughout the year. I'm hoping it'll be a fun one.

First NHL goal of the year by a former Puck Buck goes to Nate Guenin. Also Nate's first ever NHL goal. Sadly the Ducks lost 4-1 to the Sabres in Finland.
 
quick FYI. skoff decommited. has not been announced, but he wanted to come in now and oz said no. so skoff said see ya later. Oz's treatment of his players will his demise. you can't yell at every player, because some will not respond to that style of coaching. the only hope this yr is heeter. d core will struggle again and four guys need to fill the scoring role. good thing they play no one good out of conference.

The Buckeyes are 1-0 after beating the Q. Let's make it a sweep boys and get another one on Saturday night. I think the first period was good teamwork with good passing. The second period was getting sloppy. The thrid period the team was flat and Q come out strong. I think Goalie Heeter WON this game for us in the net. A WIN is a WIN and we will take all we can get. " Go Bucks Go. "

The guys hung on for the win tonight but there were some scary moments. Defense seemed to start breaking down late in the first period and by the end of the second period twice Quinnipiac players came in unopposed on Heeter. Too often we were trying to clear the puck not looking for the open teammate to create opportunity and when we did try to clear it most often went right to an opposing player. Our PP was off too when we couldn’t score when on a 5 min major. I think practice next week will be heavy on defense and PP drills. Wasn’t impressed with the zebras with those 2 early calls against us for boarding when they were clearly legal hits. Anyway I may appear more critical than I actually am as I think every game it will come together more & more for these kids, after all this past week is the first for full time contact with the coaches.

I didn't make it to tonight's game, but I agree wholeheartedly with you that things will come together for this team. This is a very young team with a majority of the roster being freshmen or sophomores. I think we will see continued progress out of this team as the season goes on. Cannot wait to get to the Schott for tomorrow night's game.
