I thought the first 10 minutes were pretty good they had chances to score but just couldnt bury them. After michigan scored the first goal they carried the play for much of the first period and that stupid penalty by Oddo lead to the 2nd goal ,no it wasnt a PPG but he wasnt near being back into the play when the goal was scored. I didnt think Cal had his best night with rebounds and losing sight of the puck a number of times as was mentioned earlier. Again in the 3rd they had chances to bury a couple early and when the puck didnt go in you could see the guys were frustrated, the body language wasnt good but thats just my opinion. This slide has to be put to a halt on sunday afternoon.

Ugly win against RM, followed by two OT losses to Bowling Green, followed by Michigan breaking off a plunger in our *** at home: this season is not headed in the right direction.

2nd half slump? The question is what will Oz do to right the ship now that it has a bit of a lean to it? I think for Sunday's game it will be more about the guy's pride and dignity than it will be about the points.
Oh yeah, and NOW that the Dispatch has finally given the team a large front page story it wasn't a pretty one. Bast*rds!

Tomorrow's game in Cleveland will be replayed on the Big Ten Network tomorrow night at 9:00

Western won tonight so we have only a 1 point lead for first place. Hope we widen that gap back up tomorrow!

They sure do need a win tomorrow for nothing more than to get some confidence back. I hope to see them get back to what they did well in the first half just getting pucks to the net and crashing in after it.

Keep in mind that WMU and ND also have two games in hand. Michigan wins today and you'll have company the rest of the season.

Quite a bottleneck in the CCHA right now when you have 7 teams in the middle of the pack and all within 3 points of each other!

Not to mention that Fredo seems to have righted their ship and is playing up to their preseason expectations. The Buckeyes don't have any easy weekends from here on out.

Ugly weekend of hockey for the Buckeye fans , EH. Michigan returns the favor and sweeps the Bucks. The Bucks are not the same team they were in the first half of the season. They got alot of work to do & better figure it out soon and sooner the better. UGLY.

I saw the same as Friday. Michigan's transition game was flawless and their passing and puck control gave them their scoring opprotunities. Heeter seemed out of syc all weekend which is unusual for him. Can't help but wonder if it could have gone differently if Hjelle was in net from the get go but having your #1 goalie off his game is something you just can't forsee. :(

Don't get down you still have a great team.

IMO Michigan is way under ranked. Merrill's return makes them a legit top four team.
Hard to beat a loaded Wolverine team from Seniors down to freshmen they are stacked.

But Ohio has great coaching and solid young talent too. You will be just fine.

Heeter gave up two soft goals today and that put the game out of reach. Hjelle looked solid. It does make you wonder if maybe Heeter needs a break. We really need to get this ship righted and get back to the way we were playing before the break. I am also seeing a disturbing trend on offense where we are not passing the puck. We had guys going down on odd man rushes and holding onto the puck all the way instead of passing to an open man for shots. We don't seem to be playing together on that end of the ice. I also didn't see guys crashing the net to get those greasy goals that we were getting earlier this season. We need to get things figured out. We've had too good a season to throw it away with a second half meltdown. We closed the break on an 11-1-1 streak. We need to start another run like that this half of the season.

Hope you are correct. We certainly haven't looked like a "great" team at any point in this second half of the season.

Agreed. When there were rebounds we could have scored on nobody was coming to the far side of the net to get the cherry pick goals or on top of the crease for a pass from behind the net.

Wow ugly is the only way to describe that weekend of hockey. The turning points of this game for me came when the score was 2-1 ohio state had a 3 on 1 and didnt even get a shot off and right after that dries takes a penalty after that michigan went back to controling the play. Once again no one goes to the dirty areas to get rebounds which were their at times. I bet we see Hjelle on Friday night. Now that the big lead in the league is pretty much gone they are in a fight not just for the title but for a bye in the playoffs. I want to see how determined this team is come friday night against ferris.

I wonder why Dzingle was pulled as a starter for Cleveland? Injury or doghouse the only choices I know of.
