Had our exhibition game today again Niagra and it went to OT. Wallberg had the winning goal for us.
We didn't look bad in my opinion and the chemistry needs to come together a bit yet but not too bad for the first game. We shall see as the season progresses what this team is capable of. Go Bucks!
 
Niagara fans get quite annoyed when someone spells it Niagra. Niagara considers it a successful exhibition as well using all 3 of their goaltenders for a period each. In the long term most exhibitions mean nothing other than to test out players for more playing time. Hope this does not soften your outlook for this season.

You aren't the first and certainly won't be the last. It will happen dozens of times this season. Good luck Buc-ee's fans!! Not sure if you have any up your way yet but they have made it up to Kentucky already. Would love to see you topple Michigan on the ice this year.
 
The Badgers pushed hard all game long but out D percivered and got us to OT where to add insult to injury Wisconsin native Max Montes not only scored our winning goal but both goals!
Apparently we're doing exactly what we did last season, being the Badgers spoiler, LOL!
 
It was a lot of hard work but Ohio State sweeps the Badgers in Madison! We've taken six of the last seven games from them and of all the Big Ten hockey teams we just lately seem to have their number. Can't wait for when Wisconsin comes to Columbus looking for revenge, it should be brutal & awesome!
 
They way everything seemed to be coming together the last month or so of last year, gave me a lot of optimism for this year. Being the consensus choice to finish at the bottom of the B1G was kind of puzzling then. Nice to see the good start. Hopefully, they can build some confidence and keep things rolling.

On the "Are They Back?" scale: 4 out of 10.

Yes, too early to tell yet how the season will go but it was an excellent start to conference play. I've got tickets to our one game at Michigan this season. I was there last season for our shootout win. Yost has one of the best atmospheres for college hockey.
 
Buckeye week in Bowling Green. Welcome to the first official game in the newly renovated Slater Family Ice Arena on Saturday. I'll be at both games (I'll be the one wearing BG gear at the Schott...look me up).
 
I had an issue with Slater in the past which was when BG became the custodians of the Mason Cup I never saw it on display there which was very disappointing.

Notre Dame had the Mason Cup the entire time the CCHA was in purgatory. Our AD picked it up on his way back from a trip to Chicago after the league's rebirth was announced. Fortunately Notre Dame's athletic department was able to find it!

Blame the Domers, not us!

Watch out fer yer cornhole, buddy. Their fans might be a little feisty since the ncaa will have nuked their football program back to the stone age by then.

I never heard that, the media reported that BG were given the custody of the cup after the CCHA was disbanded. I guess I'll ask Fred Pletsch the next time I run into him.
