Ohio State 2024-25 Domination of the Portal Queen!

I've never eaten anything there, but I'd think that LaBahn would have better concessions; there's no way to lose to Ridder on that one.
LaBahn is "under-concessioned". Waits are way too long at full menu location, especially when they have the game during a normal meal time. And the areas around that location get clogged up, the concourse needed to be wider. Don't get a pretzel before the game starts, they will be cold in the middle. They don't start them soon enough. I think everything is over-priced, but a person has to eat. They do "allow" you to bring in empty water bottles (by turning a blind eye to them) and then you can fill them up. And don't get me going on the lame payment system they use, it's like out of 1991. It's user interface is the worst on the planet - and slow.

OSU is about to make all of college hockey wish they were OSU. April is going to be awesome. Go BUCKS. Hey WI haters how's that "DIRTY" championships lol

That sounds nice. Although, it probably would have been better if slOwSU had made all of college hockey wish they were slOwSU...In March. Kinda like the "dirty" sinners did.

Wait...We are just talking about women's college hockey...Right? Cause if not, it was pretty special to see those yuckeye men giving up a snowman to bu to end their season.

I think there was a post on here indicating that 1200 was an outdated figure prior to some renovations which make the 600ish number basically a sellout.
Correct, out seating fluctuates slightly but it's typically around 650 but the "official" maximum is set by the fire marshall. I posted once what it reads where it's on the wall at the rink but I can't remember it now.

I'm pretty certain the "dirty" referenc is for Simms illegal move on the PS that should have disallowed the goal.

I'm truly curious.

Have you ever seen a penalty shot or 'shootout' goal disallowed for any sort of similar move, even remotely similar? College or international or NHL? If so, please give as much detail as you can - teams, dates, shooter, etc - so I can find video.

Or has anyone reading along seen one?

Top 5 Moments Of The 2025 Frozen Four
#1 Kirsten Simms: Hockey Rock Star

These aren't the memories we wanted. But they're the memories we've got. Going into denial is not the answer.

Sorry Sting, but Kirsten really is a Rock Star. She rocked the Ridder. Twice over.

Game Tying Penalty Shot Goal:
Athletic; Artistic; Awesome. Bodacious & Brilliant. I've got plenty more adjectives where those came from.. Could probably make it most of the way through the alphabet. But since the conversion wasn't Zany in a way, I'll leave it at that.

Game Winning Overtime Goal:
I've been told that good things happen when you go to the net. Clearly #27 got the same memo.

Lacey Eden cruised over the blue line on the right wind side, slicing through the offensive zone. Lacey got her stiff shot on net. Save: Thiele. Rebound: Inviting. And then came Simms, taking the classic wisdom to heart. Receiving the puck in stride, Kirsten's smooth, surgical shot zipped into the Buckeye net. Championship: Badgers.

Epilogue:
The Hockey Handshake Line is one of the greatest traditions in sports. But forcing the Runners-up to watch the Champions celebrate has to be one of the cruelest. Mercifully, the 2nd Place squad now gets to leave when the handshakes are complete.

Personally I stayed in the stands to support my team. But when the last Buckeye disappeared down the tunnel, it was time for me to go as well. The 2024-25 season? An amazing journey. True, I didn't leave the Frozen Four with the memories I wanted. But as Lindsay said, the Championship Game gave us an Instant Classic. Departing Ridder, I felt great respect for the Badgers. But more importantly, I retained my unflinching, undying love for the Buckeyes. We'll be back.
Well written, as always, Pgb! Kirsten Simms was a rock star, and I respect Mark Johnson and the program he has built at Wisconsin. I am also fiercely loyal to my team, and they will be back. I stayed for a little while, hoping to talk to some of our players, but none came up. They probably didn't feel like mingling with fans after that one. I am proud of them. Everyone knew we were not as deep as last season and that this was going to be an "off" year for us and the kids still made it all the way to the title game. Much respect for Wisconsin and that loaded roster, much love for my Buckeyes and the fight they showed. The better team ended up winning, but our kids showed a lot of heart as the underdogs. I am already looking forward to next season. Depth should not be an issue with the returning players and the recruiting class Coach has coming in.

Like salt in the wound here - talking about how great LaBahn and Ridder are on the Ohio State thread! Heartless :)
I am fine with people talking about Ridder and LaBahn on here. If we're lucky, maybe our AD and President will stop by here and read about them. It's a joke that a championship program like OSU's is still relegated to playing in a smallish, sorely outdated facility like the OSU Ice Rink.

If anyone could produce that evidence, they would have done so weeks ago.

The fact is that the posters on this board have collectively watched thousands of hockey games, without any of them ever seeing this call made.

This is a fun video for any hockey fan regardless, but I counted 6 examples of Kane stickhandling the puck a tiny bit backward. Of course none were disallowed.
