This of course was helped by the fact that I completed the Jeff Gordon NASCAR special event (kinda difficult, just takes some luck and a lot of drafting) and the Seb)astian Loeb special event (ridiculous, not Grand Tour ridiculous but, the second race in that one is difficult) which gets you a NASCAR to use on the Nurburgring event (first try I got 5th, without the HP limit I was able to use my car after I changed the oil and had some break in giving it more HP) and the Citreon (sp?) C4 WRC (the race with this one is easy money).

As for racing with my NASCAR, I have more respect for NASCAR drivers as that thing is beast to control, especially on the road courses. And if you want real fun, race a road course and turn the TC off!

Wait until you get the X1/X2010 challenge at level 30. That thing is on another planet.

I'm a fairly average driver (tend to be really conservative and controlled) and I'm on a wheel which is a significant advantage. Just driving conservatively to get a feel for the car, I missed the bronze time at Monza by SIXTEEN seconds.

Fortunately, you get gifted one if you grind your B-Spec to level 35, and you can buy one from the dealership at 40.

Well there's your problem, you need to be agressive! :p

Oh I've heard nothing but horror stories involving those X1 challenges. That's one of the few I'm looking foward to. One I'm not: the A-Spec 24 hour races.

I still haven't work on my B-Spec driver at all but I've been wanting to complete more A-Spec races.

The music for that challenge needs to cycle between Through the Fire and Flames, Mute City, the Battletoads speeder bike music, and the Benny Hill theme.

Edit: And now he's just tossing it directly into the net! I know even real goalies make some bone-headed moves sometimes, but ****. I think they need to concentrate on the AI goalie's puck-handling/own goals a little bit for NHL12 :p

Video games can be social! Twitch and I have killed many a thug together.

I do manage to squeeze 40 hours of work in a week as well. Its tough.

You act like I got all of these the same day or something. I've had my Steam account for a year. That is plenty of time to play all of those. The GTA ones were a package deal that was on sale. I had played/beat most of them before I ever got them from Steam. Actually, most of the games were bought because of "on sale" deals. :)

I am really trying to decide in what format I want to buy The Witcher 2 when it comes out.

Amazon has the original PS3 for $40 + local taxes, $56 after shipping - through Target, thus the shipping charge even for Prime customers, and then the taxes, too. I don't know how long that price will last. It's the 160GB model, and not the new slimmer and more energy efficient version.

Eh, I just put in an order too... really can't lose out on the deal, since I'm not actively looking for a PS3, but if it ends up being true, then its a steal.

My roommate made it to level 36 in Black Ops Zombies by himself tonight, made for 3 hours of entertaining game watching.

By himself? Holy hell. The furthest I've personally seen is level 46 by two of my friends while we did power hour, the game took entirely too long/we could barely walk afterwards.

Yep, by himself. He could have made it longer too, just got unlucky at the end and ran out of ammo for the zeus cannon. Took him 3h15m, ended up at 1047 kills, 175 headshots or something ridiculous like that.

NBA Jam is fun, but it doesn't come with any of the helpful options that the old console versions had. That means the old arcade trick where the computer would go into beast mode and hit everyting and destroy you is back with a force and it doesn't matter what difficulty level you play on. The trick is to beat the tar out of the computer as much as you can in the first half and then hold on to your butt in the second half and hope you can win. It's ridiculous how evil the computer is in the second half. It's fun as hell, but it's frustrating as hell to do anything when you're getting gorilla farked by an angry computer team.

I tried it then canceled it. Check the receipt they send you via e-mail. It doesn't say you ordered a PS3 console. It says you ordered a PlayStation Move controller. I then went back to their webpage and while the title said PS3 60GB, the product description was for a PlayStation Move controller, so it was definitely an error on their part. Target pulled it from their website.

EDIT: Here's the item it had listed in my receipt: "PlayStation 3 Move Advanced Shooter Grip (PlayStation 3)Console"

ETA: I just tried the link I provided last night, and it's a dead link now. It makes me even more curious what will happen with the order. If it's a Move Controller, then I'm going to fight with Target about getting back all the shipping fees, too.
