Polyphony Digital really blew it with this game. I've not been impressed at all.

You don't want damage? :confused:

Damage makes this game 100x better. Then you can't just play bumper cars to win the race. You have to actually, you know.. race.

I also wish they had lap time penalties for going off course. I thought F3 did that well.

Sorry I'm not as good as you are. It should be an option. Sure, package it nicely but overall it's mediocre.

Got my first "Ticket 1000" yesterday in GT5. Upon redeeming it I got a crappy Mazda Carol 360 Deluxe '62 with a whopping 19HP. Stupid random seed!

1) Create throwaway PSN account.
2) Set birthday on throwaway account to today's date, 1944.
3) Start GT mode with throwaway account.
4) Receive VW Kubelwagen gift car.
5) Send gift car to main account.
6) Sell gift car for a cool $71K.
7) Repeat 1-6 until filthy rich.
8) Buy whatever you want.

Finally got GT5 and was playing some last night. Now I must admit I've been an ardent GT fan and have played and "beaten" all the past GT's. So, I must wonder, why is everyone whining about the difficulty? The Top Gear track challenge? Took me 30 minutes. License tests? Easy still at the B, A, and IB level. The karts that some people at my job said were hard? Easy, just don't slam the gas or the brakes.

The one thing I did that I think makes it easier is I moved shift gears to the Right Stick and accelerate to R2 and brake to L2, it allows you to gas and brake at the same time.

BTW my PSN is Jimjamesak. And when you think you're a nerd, just look at my trophy count. Yeah I'm a nerd. :p

I would say the game can be cheap and annoying sometimes more than it is hard.

I thought the SambaBus (and subsequently the Lotus) was the worst, but I agree Karts are super easy, I won them all on the first try or two.

You can ignore Dx, he apparently sucks at video games and that makes him cranky. ;)

Are you ever actually going to pull the trigger and buy a system? You would drop double this amount on a questionable looking hooker and some blow you got from a hobo without even thinking twice. So why all the procrastination?

The key to the SambaBus I found was just trying to find room to pass in the corners and keeping your speed up.

I got a voucher for Sackboy's Prehistoric Moves and was playing with the wife last night. It was interesting using the Move to help solve the levels. It's something that requires incredible in some cases. It's got me excited for LBP2 for sure.

T. Kobayashi. My B-Spec driver. F-150 Lightning jacked up to about a 200 HP advantage over the typical opponents. Amateur Pick-up Championship at Daytona. He farking BRAKES whenever he gets within 5 feet of another truck. FML.

Yeah they do that, especially at low levels. I noticed once I got to around level 17 they seemed more aggressive without me having to babysit them for 2-3 laps until they had the lead.

It seems like they drive better when the vehicle isn't overpowered compared to the field.

I still need to grind out some more cash and then rotate my used car dealership to get the Formula GT car. I also need to win myself a Minolta. Then I can beat some of these harder races with ease.
