Re: Official Video Games Thread VI: Somebody set us up the bomb

Just finished Infamous thanks to the welcome back package. Chose the good side on every karma choice. Next I'm going to "free" the rest of the city since I still have about 10% of Warren to rid enemies from. Then I'll try to get all the blast shards and then I think I'll play it over again, this time being evil.

That was a crazy story line, and I'm pretty psyched to try Infamous 2, though I'll probably wait for a price drop.

Ugh. I missed the deal because I didn't have interwebz access.

Re: Official Video Games Thread VI: Somebody set us up the bomb

Star Wars: KoToR (online) Collector's Edition is available for pre-order starting today.

It's actually just ToR... no Ko.

Ohh just saw this on Steam.

Civilization V is only $17.00 (-66%) for the weekend.
The deluxe bundle is only $20.40.

Hope people skipped Civ V... absolutely falls short of the expectations set by the rest of the series, the full edition of IV would suit anybody much better.

Depends what your expectations were. If you want stacking units, then yes you will be disappointed.

After they patched the early AI issues, the game has been great.

How well were they patched?
The abandonment of some of the franchise mechanics was what really annoyed me... and I still can't get over the idea that they're offering Civilizations as DLC and making people pay for them...

For those of you who like PC games. In addition to Steam you should check out gog.com.

They sell DRM-Free old PC games, for $5.99 and $9.99, as well as new releases (still DRM-Free) for regular price. They also have sales each day.

They just released Zork: Grand Inquisitor. I might pick that one up as I loved the game when it was new.

Is it really any different than packaging them together and making people pay for them as an expansion?

I am still enjoying Civ5 alot, far more than Civ 3 or 4. Though I still enjoyed 3 and 4.

NCAA Football 2012.

I met all my goals as Hawai'i's offensive coordinator....and still got fired. BS

Re: Official Video Games Thread VI: Somebody set us up the bomb

Technically, this isn't a video game, but...any pinball collectors here?

Was looking for a while around Anchorage, but not finding much. That is, until to my amazement someone put up a fully shopped Black Knight 2000. Met the guy and he's a legit collector - machine's in immaculate shape. Picking it up next weekend :D

I've heard there are a few bugs (particularly with named rosters) that they are working on. Not in a hurry to buy it until they work out the kinks.

From the sounds of it, NCAA 12 is just a: ctrl+A, ctrl+C, ctrl+V, ctrl+S

Re: Official Video Games Thread VI: Somebody set us up the bomb

Bought Magicka and some of its DLC off Amazon since it was 50% off. So I ended up spending maybe $8. Also it installs into Steam which is nice. Means it will stay updated.

Select All, Copy, Paste, Save.

Its the same as the last one he is saying.

ah, I caught most of what he was saying...thanks. I haven't seen much change in any of these games over the years.

Torchlight II is still listed as TBA. So didn't want to add it to 2011, same with Diablo III.

It's only 2011...and Mass Effect is not going to take another 20 months... :p
