Official UNH Wildcats Offseason Thread 2012

Re: Official UNH Wildcats Offseason Thread 2012

Bummer... How is the ice?

The ice is good. It's getting built up nice. They started putting the ice in the first week students came back to campus. But now there is always club/varsity/public/stick and puck on the ice. so its getting plenty of work and the ice seems to be holding up nicely and has seemed better each time ive been out.

Non-hockey topic - I'm hoping you guys can settle a bet: Does NH have liquor agency stores, or is all liquor sold by state-owned stores? If there are agents, can you name a specific one so the bet can be verified? Thanks for this diversion from college hockey.

All liquor is sold in state owned liquor stores. Beer and wine are available in all grocery/convenience stores.

"all grocery/convenience stores" as long as they have and maintain a liquor license.

Funny thing is the NH method ends up with cheaper booze. About every 4 years some idiot in the legislature decides to try and change to alternate methods and it has repeatedly been shown to cost the state and consumer more money.

(waiting for either Nick or Carmine to add some obligatory "moonshine" comment) :):p;)

But, eight of Stevie's goals came in two 4-goal efforts in games that did not matter much last season.
This might provide a good chuckle:
In a tweet by JvR describing a practice session with his younger brother Brendan, he writes:
"looks like he caught a bad case of the @StevieMoses22 flu tho #highandwide"

Young's Store in Pittsburg sells liquor. Not sure of others.

St. Francis Xavier will either be 4-1 or 3-2 by the time they get to the Whitt on Saturday.

Re: Official UNH Wildcats Offseason Thread 2012

This saturday may be a glorified practice, but St FX is a team that is going to challenge the Cat's, I am quite familiar with AUS hockey since i have been living in Nova Scotia for the past three years or so.... Also the visors they will be wearing is what UNH and all of NCAA hockey could be wearing in 2013....

Re: Official UNH Wildcats Offseason Thread 2012

The StFX X-Men have 20 players with 3 or more years of experience in Canadian Major Junior Leagues. 9 of these players have 5 or more years experience in major juniors.

Re: Official UNH Wildcats Offseason Thread 2012

Yup this could be interesting, I wish I could be there but I have to be up in Nova Scotia, will be down for the St. Cloud series
