Re: Official Oswego State 2014-2015 Thread...LETS FINISH THE JOB!!!!!

Has the season started yet? sigh.....

Last year's WTOP coverage at away games was ground-breaking. Any word on how ambitious WTOP is looking to be this year? I'd like to see them eventually provide a video feed for every game that doesn't already have a feed. Dreaming? Maybe.

Hockey Night In Oswego will have an infusion of new blood again this year as the number of Community College transfers into the School of Communication, Media and the Arts continues to rise - the Suffiolk CC gang who made an impact last year will have some upstate new blood from OCC according to early reports. Student general meeting is coming up - the picture should be clearer after that...although we have seen freshmen with solid HS experience make the "varsity" first semester as well...Road games? Last year's success provides confidence to put some regular season roadies on the schedule, but doubtful it would be more than a couple....

As far as I can tell Alex D'Oliveira is at least attending school, we will see if he sticks around because we all know how that can be.

The other three also appear to be in Oswego based on twitter and facebook. Again whether or not they actually play is another story.

Another possible D1 transfer,

Sean Federow, defense 2012-2013 ojhl 52gp 11-32-43
2013-2014 american international 16gp 1-2-3.

Can anyone confirm?

Re: Official Oswego State 2014-2015 Thread...LETS FINISH THE JOB!!!!!

I cannot confirm it but it looks like a strong possibility.

Looks like a strong p/u if so 6' 2 215 lbs played in half the games at AIC last yr,they dont have a 2014-15 roster up at AIC so cant tell about that...." another possible D1 transfer",did we have 1 that i missed this yr or just adding on from the yr past??...Still wondering who didnt show up and who will take the ice from last yr's team.....after reading a few things, it looks like he played forwrd last yr and he is also listed as a forward on USCHO as well, played D in Jr's so perhaps AIC didnt want him to play D and he packed up and came to the promiseland:p

Not trying to take anything away from the kid, but this is AIC we are talking about here. Division I transfer only by default. One of the worst DI schools over the past 10 years. Finished in the bottom 5 in DI 8 of 11 years and only 1 time out of the bottom 10. An average winning % of .257, so if you ask me Oswego is pretty much just getting another DIII player....

agree, there is a fine line between the lower D1 teams and top D3 teams,so who knows, can only hope he can add something to the team, looks like this may be a positional thing as well, as he played D in Jr's and Forward last yr?? Very solid stats in the OJHL so I would thinka nice pick up eitherway you look at it......yes not a Quiinny or Gate transfer I know:cool:,,,ps we at Oz have had several D1 transfers who didnt crack the top few lines, who knows??

Kudos to Michael Keeley, calling his first pro game as the voice of the Ice Miners...on Fast Hockey...

Re: Official Oswego State 2014-2015 Thread...LETS FINISH THE JOB!!!!!

Sean Fedorow did play in 16 games with AIC, and although they are not a strong D1 team, his play against major D1 schools was great
Sean will play as he has to fit in to the Laker program
