To me, Jasmin looks like the dark horse of the bunch. Obviously he earned his way onto the roster, but we know almost nothing about him. Besides a couple YouTube videos and one year of statistics from high school, we have nothing to go on. He could be on a different level than the other goalies on the team, either above or below. We just don't know. But I know I really want to find out.

Definitely will need a cheat sheet until things settle out with lines. Hopefully there are a couple numbers that jump out in the scrimmage. I am really looking forward to watching this season progress, and what Gosek can do with this young group

As I said technically speaking, he is very solid. His glove positioning, his movement, the way he tracks the puck etc. are all right in line with what is being taught these days. His tendency to hang back in the crease is worrisome but can easily be corrected. What we can't see from video or stats is how mentally tough he or the other two goalies are. That mental toughness is what will ultimately separate the three when it comes to who gets the starts in important games.

Agreed...here's to a good start and steady improvement...the last big class that came in and stuck together did pretty well, so I choose to be cautiously optimistic. Eddie's excited - so am I...

17 freshman on this roster. This could very well be a season of learning, but if they play well together, there's 4 years of this ahead. I'm not getting my hopes up too high for this season, but it will be exciting for sure!

I count 19 fresh...5 soph...7jr's...2 seniors...33 total...should be interesting

looks like the showcase sat night will be 15 vs 15,with the 3 netminders splitting time...2 full periods,then a skills comp...game will be full on,penalties,refs etc......should be fun to watch,lets hope NO injuries........

10-4,I think Coach Gosek has been thru something like this before,the players will have to get used to the college game and should do well as the season moves on...

smart move by Espo, he will get waaaay more ice with the Red dragons, and Jones should help with the goalies,good luck to him...cortland has 11 transfers over the past few yrs,I guess they like cold rinks

Joe Cardarelli also served some time as an assistant coach at Oswego.

Hopefully I can put my two cents into your fraternity of writers from time to time and add some value or provide some interesting insight/color. Having said that, based on that goalie's you tube videos, I would be surprised if he sees much playing time. Way back in the net and random pucks circulating all around. As we all know, the game starts from the net and works it way out, defense than offense. Many goalies have come and gone. Low glove and way back in the net which was already mentioned. Pucks not being controlled in front of him. I hope I'm wrong as Goalies seem to get injured and he may be required to play.

Not sure u can put to much into a few you tube vids, that said I think he may have been a hey lets get a third goalie or we r in trouble type thing,hopefully not...I totally agree with its starts with the goalie,and I have said b4.......ugh NO experience btwn the pipes,cross your fingers and hold on should be interesting,lets hope 1 of these guys steps up big time....also we seem to have been bitten by the injury/cramp bug in the past few yrs so yes we need very competent backups....ps WELCOME and look forward to more OZ fans
