Re: Official Brookyone - 5 4 Fighting Nagging Thread

or, Nice Post, eh? cause Nice Goal, eh, is only trumped by, Nice Save, eh?

Hey Gotice I should have anticipated your response, alas I did not. I'll respond in kind...Nice post eh!:D

Re: Official Brookyone - 5 4 Fighting Nagging Thread

or "how's it going, Eh", "Decent singing, Eh", "Take off, Eh", and almost anything else that Bob and Doug McKenzie might decide to use the "Eh" after.

With all due respect, do you guys purposely try to put a stop to all conversations involving anything remotely interesting so you can all talk about stuff like this?

Because this is awesome!

Re: Official Brookyone - 5 4 Fighting Nagging Thread

I for one, enjoy discussing things considered taboo by our society in polite conversations; Politics and Religion.
It isn't a matter of a society taboo. Rather on the USCHO forum, the sanctioned place for such discussions is the Cafe. I think most would agree that it is permissible if similar discussions are held in a designated thread in the women's forum, or someplace like one of the "fighting" threads -- such as here.

My complaint is when such arguments spill over into a thread which is home to a legitimate hockey discussion. They don't need to be hijacked by a politics/religion debate, no matter how well intentioned it may be. There are many places where one can go to discuss politics and/or religion, but all too few where the community is geared toward women's college hockey.

I wasn't necessarily talking about the fan forum per say, just in general, people shy away from those two topics for fear of offending in the name of PC

I knew you Canucks were up to something. First you get us addicted to hockey and then to your beer. Once you have us fully intoxicated and lulled into a play off daze, you are planning the attack.

Who the H E double Hockey Sticks is Vanderbilt anyway...isn't that a perfume? Is 2014 when their unleashing their next batch?

If you were American...or if they had a hockey team...you would have heard of it. I guess RStarr will have to become a Predators fan for her hockey fix as it is in Nashville TN. The mean SAT is 1370 (Math & Reading) so in real life RStarr is no dumb bunny. BTW, congrats RStarr.

According to my college guidebook "Vanderbilt has top 20 academics according to USNews and a top 20 party scene according to Playboy. ....The Vanderbilt stereotype is what you might expect at a southern school: an all wealthy white school. Girls are blonde, preppy, fake and dependant. Guys are party animals and southern gentlemen. Everyone is from the south and everyone dresses to impress. ....If you come to Vanderbilt you better bring a sundress for football games".

Is that how y'all pictured her?

:D
