Official Boston University 2009-2010 Pre-season thread - Let the banners rise!

Re: Official Boston University 2009-2010 Pre-season thread - Let the banners rise!

Thanks for the reminder! OK guys, I'll send out a meeting maker to all of you so we can have this decision made prior to the first exhibition. Hopefully you can all make it. I want all of you to bring your top three players on whom you feel we need to focus our disdain and disgust. Like last season, each of you will get three minutes, one for each player, for you to present your reasons for inclusion. The incoming freshmen are not necessarily exempt from this. At the end of the meeting, there will be a vote. We'll set the top three, so if our first choice actually improves and plays well, we move to number two on the list.

Who wants to bring the snacks? I'll see about getting some space at the arena. Will there be a need for A/V equipment? You're all responsibile for your own handouts, if necessary.
I'll provide red velvet cupcakes with white frosting. :)

Yea, basically... Philip is the son of Satan (I hope Ulf dies of gonorrhea and rots in hell) but I won't hold it against him.

Philip is, however, a good candidate for hate from the fanboys. However, as fanboy rules stipulate (See section 5.1.1a in the Fanboy Handbook), any injuries occurring to any BU hockey player starting on October 1st through July 1st of the following year, whether it is in a game vs. BC, a game vs. another opponent, or not in a game AT ALL, is the fault of one Mr. Nathan Gerbe until BC can get another 25-30 goal scorer in the books, in which case Gerbe is replaced as said "injurer of my BU hockey player snookums" (section 5.1.1b of the Fanboy Handbook).

That's all (I had to post this so grantfan would stop complaining that I don't post anything funny anymore, although as you probably can see, heckling these fragile UVM fans is pretty fricken funny).

Best of luck to your Terriers this season.

Oh good, you're back! We were holding your mail for a long time there. Glad to see you still have the ability to contribute to some great discussion.

probably a silly question, but does anyone know which game the National Championship banner will be raised...will it be the Notre Dame game?

Thanks.

I also wanted to ask everyone to take a minute today and remember Mark Bavis. We miss you Mark.

Yes, the ND game.
Sure about this?

The Arena box office said, as recently as this afternoon. October 10th against USNTDP. Which would make sense (and be a pure money-grab) to sell tickets to a lightly attended game.

I'll get confirmation on Tuesday night.

Never trust anything the box office says.

Unfortunate if true. Something as momentous as a NC banner raising shouldn't be relegated to an exhibition game against a bunch of 17 year olds.

My inside sources say the 10th.
