Official 2011 Miami Offseason Thread: Hawkheads face left and no scalping allowed!

Re: Official 2011 Miami Offseason Thread: Hawkheads face left and no scalping allowed

So, what odds do we give one member of our tenacious tandem establishing themselves as the clear #1 based on something other than the hot hand heading into the post season?

Re: Official 2011 Miami Offseason Thread: Hawkheads face left and no scalping allowed

Finally took the jersey out of storage today, I'm pretty excited.

Side note: was anyone else confused when they instinctively hit the forum button at the top of the page and were suddenly sent to USCHO extra?

Based on the last 3 years? Probably a long shot, but who really knows.

I realize that, after an entire summer, we're running low on credible questions to axe each udder, but this is not one of your better ones, 628.

As was stated before, barring some season ending injury or an absolutely terrible play (2 or 3 consecutive 4+ gpg), we're going to drive this dynamic duo all season long.

Probably a poorly phrased question.

I'm not suggesting they won't be splitting time all season, that's a given, baring what you mentioned. It's a total non-issue, more of just wondering if anyone thinks one of them will show some significant advancement this season to the point that there wouldn't even be a conversation come the end of March about who would be playing in net.

I was out of line in my mockery. I extend apologies.

That being said, I don't think any of us have worries with either of them. My question is what happens next year. Considering all of our 'tenders are seniors, that is a great unknown for next year. What's the outlook there?

We're getting down to the wire, kids.

No worries :)

I know I was kind hoping (or at the very least would have not have been disappointed) if one of our two left early this year to let McKay get some playing time behind a senior. Both of our goalies in the pipeline (McKay and Williams) are suposed to be pretty good, so early guess would be another freshmen tandem!! Yay!!

I really hope hockey can raise my athletic spirits this season, watching this football game against BG is painful...

No kidding, that was rough. Bright point of the day for me was wandering into Goggin before the game and catching the team scrimmaging, unfortunately BIGGS wasn't out there.

Re: Official 2011 Miami Offseason Thread: Hawkheads face left and no scalping allowed

Short people, big shoes FTW!!

Williams and McKay should keep the Miami crease in good shape for the next several years.

Re: Official 2011 Miami Offseason Thread: Hawkheads face left and no scalping allowed

Mr. Wingels with 2 goals tonight, 3 so far in the preseason.

I would go say go with this one, but wait until you see Lil' Wideman and Czarnik :)
