Official 2010 WCHA Final Five Thread

Re: Official 2010 WCHA Final Five Thread

Question for the tailgaters: Can we park in that lot overnight, if we, by chance, happen to consume to much liquor and need to take a cab home?

Re: Official 2010 WCHA Final Five Thread

You didn't have to leave the promised land. You chose too! :p

If you can remember a night at Gasthof's, you're doing it wrong, or so I'm told. :p
It's because of that night that I am where I am today. :)

We've just had a rough go of things lately, so trips back and forth aren't very conducive to ye olde pocket book at this time. Once things turn around, though, we'll be back.

Brent, why not Campus Pizza or Pizza Luce? Nye's? Something in Dinkytown or 7 Corners? And if anyone is playing in town that he likes, 7th Street or 1st Ave?
LOVE Nye's!

Back to the cab & dd conversation... Anytime HumRsky & I are out with you guys we'll have 3 spots in our car, as one of us will always be sober (that person will definitely not be me on Saturday) :p

Re: Official 2010 WCHA Final Five Thread

Getting to Gasthof's or anywhere else is no problem for me, it is just getting home. :D

Might have to go back to my old college motto "Home is the ditch you pass out in."

Oh, and Dinkytown blows. Stadium Village is much better. It has a stadium now!

I don't think so. I can't remember if they tow you, or charge you an obscene rate/fee, which doesn't carry over to the next day's "event" parking fees.

I'm gonna guess that because it's St Pat's Day, those places will be chaotic at best. Maybe Sunday before/after the Wild game or something, though, I know we are going to that.

And in a few minutes, I'll be on my way to the airport. I bet GLM is steamed right now, as he had some flight troubles: instead of coming in from Philly, he's now coming in from Detroit.

hmmm, I guess we'll have to do some research. I'm guessing its probably ok to park in the Xcel ramp overnight.

Re: Official 2010 WCHA Final Five Thread

Brent, any plans for tomorrow night yet? You want me to just come over to your place after work, and we'll go from there?
I'm going to check on a couple places tomorrow, though this map seems to indicate you're ok at the Xcel ramp.
Sweet. I'll probably plan on parking there. Let me know if you find out anything different.

If you guys are headed to Matt's tomorrow after work, give me a call. I'll probably be down in Mpls anyway, and can meet you somewhere.

And I edited my last post with another parking map with more contact info, if you wanna call the Xcel ramp I'll look into a few others.

7 corners and Dinkytown are definitely meh.

The Xcel ramp says it is the same price for 24 hours as it is for event parking, so it wouldn't be a problem parking there overnight.
