All you suckers watchin it on that small tv in the lobby, they finally turned it on the jumbo tron five minutes after the game

Hopefully that got the boys fired up, seeing as though the loudest the arena got all night was for football, not them.

Yeah they had the promo for this weekends games up there for awhile. I would hope that everyone that was there yesterday knew they had a game at 7:35 against Notre on Friday....

Not gonna be able to make it tonight. Got free tix and free booze at the CBJ/Pens game tonight. Too bad they aren't playing the Leafs, but least I get to see Malkin light it up. Need a better effort tonight from the boys. No more stupid mistakes.

Hey. Remember that time we had a third period breakdown? Lots of un forced turnovErs tonight. Sloppy with the puck and I haven't seen our players lose an edge like that without any contact since the 5 0 BC game. Congrats to nd. Two very talented teams who should be there in March. But if not for stupid play behind our own goal line, this game also falls in the shouldn't have lost category.

Think the chief spirits are ****ed. No energy in the building tonight. And not only was the song canned but they turned the spotlight off on the redskin plaque too.

Do we need to have an intervention?????? They are in first place and have 10 wins by christmas, you people are starting to get greedy.... Only difference from this year to last year is 2 games that we came back and tied last year we lost this year. ITS ONLY DECEMBER! do we have to go through this every week? there are still 4 months until the tourny starts, this team is very talented and has plenty of time to figure some things out. They are playing poorly and yet are still in first place with 10 wins, boy that is something to get ticked about....

Only difference from this year to last year is 2 games that we came back and tied last year we lost this year. ITS ONLY DECEMBER! do we have to go through this every week? there are still 4 months until the tourny starts, this team is very talented and has plenty of time to figure some things out. They are playing poorly and yet are still in first place with 10 wins, boy that is something to get ticked about....

I'm still confident they will get this figured out as well. There is just still way to much talent on this team for them to not sharpen it up. Was great to see The Hirsch and Huber getting involved on the offensive end in a big way. Not sure if he has been 100% or not since the injury but he really exploded out of no where yesterday. He has some making up to do in order to get back on pace for 25 points (or was it 25 goals ).

What do you expect man? We're spoiled now. This is the first time we've had 4 conference losses before the New Year in how many years . Seriously though the conference is deeper this year. It used to be if you had 6 losses you could pretty much didn't have a chance to win the league anymore. But now more than half the league has 3 or 4 losses, everyone's beating up on each other. Long layoff before a couple huge OOC games. Hopefully they can come away with a couple wins there and win the first championship of the season.

The Hirsch has 13 points in 14 games. Not too shabby, granted most of those have come in one weekend efforts, but who knows how many he would have if he hadn't gotten hurt and could get back on with Miele and Camper. Interesting that those two were split up this weekend also.

How about Miami having 4 of the top 5 leading scorers in the conference. The top 2 in the nation by a large margin. And 4 players averaging over 1 point/game (The Hirsch is very close to being #5).

Spoiled or not, need to be somewhat realistic at times too lol. You guys panic after every game, take a step back look at the grand scheme of things and take a deep breath. Miami is fine, there are a lot of changes that went on in the offseason that everyone is trying to still adapt too. Lets not forget Miami lost two of their biggest leaders in Coach Berg and Wingles.


side note, What is with Notre Dame crying all the time. This is big boy hockey, if they want to play pond hockey go to the lakes. Those hits made may of been penalties but there was nothing malicious about it, Miami isn't out to hurt anyone, they just play hard and are physical. If you aren't tough enough don't play Div. I hockey against top ranked teams. They didn't hear any of us complain about Notre Dame running Cody on friday night into the goal post. Its hypocritical at best if not pathetic. If they can't accept that this has built up into a fierce rivalry and it will be physical and tough to come into goggin and win then they should go watch Pee Wee's.

Thats it for my rant, just couldn't believe they had the sack to make those accusations.

Rhbm - Do you know what kinds of songs they are considering for this vote we are supposedly getting? Is this going to be know songs or just ditties that we can re-add the wave goodbye and cya...******* too?

Hoping for the latter, I think the worst part of loosing the scalp song was that it really was the one hockey tradition that was ours, and not a quazi ripoff of another school. I would be upset if my choice is between pep band versions of bad boys or hit the road jack.

It was amazing how little energy there was from the crowd heading into all the powerplays this weekend, just isn't the same. Hopefully we can keep the aspects of the song around that don't offend the PC police. Or we can all just get the scalp song on our phones and play it in unison!!

I haven't heard anything. As far as I know, they haven't really started putting together other options. I'm sure there will plenty of cliché options like "Bad Boys" but hopefully they'll come up with something original, too. I'd love to have the current director or someone else who knows what they are doing actually write an original "Miami Penalty Song" of some sort. In the meantime, the student section should do what we do at away games.... wave and start at "SLAM" when the penalty box door closes.

Oh no! If the parents are upset at their boys getting hit, we might as well hang up the skates. Good season boys, but we've hurt too many overly sensitive parents feelings.
