I prefeace this by saying, I haven't slept in a few days and this might all be speculation. That being said....
Ok, so question to those on here who have a good understanding of the internal workings of the Miami athletic department. This is just based off something I overheard in line but I'm pretty sure tonight at the Goggin is one of the fraternity nights where all the guys in the frat get to roll up 10 minutes before we are let in and take whatever seat they want.
Ok. So I've always thought it was annoying when they did this for LSSU or BG, but its a nothing game so whatever.
If this is actually true can someone explain to me who would make the decision to essentially say **** you to Miami's only dedicated student sports fan base on the second biggest home series of the year?
I mean ok, I'm diehard, did I need to get in line at 8am this morning? No. Did people need to camp out last night? No. But what the hell, we support this team week in and week out, pay $15 on away weekends to watch the games and drive 50 hours a year to watch them on the road. Can someone explain to me why the bro in a pink oxford (as much as I love pink oxfords its a **** hockey game come on) sitting in my seat that doesn't know a single cheer let alone a player on Miami is more deserving then me or any of the other students that I have been sitting next to for the last 7 hours, and who is the bonehead in the athletic department that (hypothetically) sanctions these things?
Hey might not be the case at all. Maybe I should give those in charge the benefit of the doubt here, but if it is...grrrrrr
Apologies to anyone on here who was/is part of the greek system, I'm sure you are a lovely person.
Phew. /end rant. Hat trick for VAIVE tonight and I will be happy. I'm usually not an angry person, clearly this is what general student admission has done to me. Season tickets for all!
