It's still a long season. We've had our share of injuries as well as freshmen in very key roles. The injuries hurt the worst of course. If two other teams in HE lose a first liner like Quailer over the next month, that alone could shake up the expected standings. I.e. Umass loses Marcou, where do you think their season would be headed? Same with UNH losing Butler or Maine losing Nyquist. Anything similar would cost each of those teams a game or two the rest of the way. Not a lot but the difference beween third and seventh this season. Would probably cost UMass five-six games though.....
If the goaltending and defense hold up they should make the playoffs. For home ice we would have to see some serious improvements in the O. Regardless of how it turns out, I think we'd be a top five HE team next year with Quailer back.
