Official 2009-2010 Miami season thread part II: Unfinished Business

Re: Official 2009-2010 Miami season thread part II: Unfinished Business

NMU loses a heart breaker, and a heart stopper, 23 seconds into double overtime.

Re: Official 2009-2010 Miami season thread part II: Unfinished Business

Miami section is 219-221. But Im in 218 others in 217 so looks like we could take up half the arena!!!

Well I'll be putting on my good luck Miami "Mofo" hat. But I'm very glad to hear the boys cut their mullets.

Re: Official 2009-2010 Miami season thread part II: Unfinished Business

2 unbelievable games to start the tourney. wow! NMU took them to the brink. Hope they're proud of their boys.

Also, it's a good thing i didn't have Denver winning that regional!

Can't ask for a better first 2 games. The UNH-cornell game was a snoozer. So nice that gladdy for INCH is such a east coast homer. Maybe the schlacking cornell took will bring his "ECAC is better than most think" crap back down to earth....

Well hope the boys were watching that Den-RIT game and take notice. Got to pounce early and often. Longer you let a team like that stick around the more the believe they can win. Miami MUST score the first goal.

I sure am proud of that NMU squad, they came back down 2 goals and played a helluva game. But got to congrats SCSU on their first tourny win, it was well deserved. Mike Lee played spectacular.

Can't agree more. Especially on NMU... to be honest, that game reminded me a lot of the XU-KSU basketball game last night. You just hate to see a loser when it's such a great game.

And it's me+2 in Section 225 Row 17 (where the Miami box office originally told us the Miami section would be...) so we've got some - and hopefully a lot of - representation in the corner!

And, WOW! As already stated, that NMU/SCSU game was incredible. I only was able to catch the last half of the 3rd and the OTs, but that was some intense hockey. I really thought NMU was about to win it during one of their prolonged offensive stands in the first OT. A hard fought game, and nothing to hang their heads about, but I sure wish it had gone the other way so we could get another CCHA team that NOT in our Regional to a second game.

Getting ready to hit the road for Ft. Wayne! Go RedHawks!!!

Re: Official 2009-2010 Miami season thread part II: Unfinished Business

Well that makes even more sense... Wilkins was the ref in our 3 game OSU series :D

Yep, good guy. Surprised he got the nod for the NCAA but in reality not much to choose from as far as top notch guys in the conference. Its really Shegos and the field.

Similar hit called in the Wisco-Vermont game last night too, doesn't matter anymore. You smoke a guy in the head it's going to get called. Increased emphasis by the NCAA over the last month. Officials see the head snap back most likely will be a penalty.

ah, in the same half of the arena just around the corner. Make a trip over our way though if you can!

While it is not St. Crispian's Day per se, the day of our awaiting has arrived. Take the following to heart:

<object style="height: 344px; width: 425px"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/eabvTVuwMFU"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/eabvTVuwMFU" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="425" height="344"></object>

“We few, we happy few, we band of brothers. For he today that sheds his blood with me shall be my brother; be ne'er so vile. This day shall gentle his condition. And gentlemen in England now abed shall think themselves accursed they were not here, and hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks that fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day.”

My friends and I are sitting in section 216. Sounds like Miami is bringing quite the contingent. Hopefully this puts a little spark under the boys. Leaving for Fort Wayne soon. Hoop everyone has a safe trip.

Let's go 'Hawks!

Re: Official 2009-2010 Miami season thread part II: Unfinished Business

Just checked in to Hyatt Place (beats the rooms at the Ren Center by a long shot. - People Mover. + free internet & continental breakfast & easy to navigate building

Ready to head over to the Coliseum in a little under and hour for the pregame gathering, and very excited for some Miami Hockey!!! Let's bury a few early and play hard for the full 60!

Though it's not listed yet, they may post a link to an internet feed on channelsurfing.net sometime between now and the game. If not, you can try to dig through justin.tv to find someone who's streaming the game or check on the Regional thread to see if someone has posted a link.

Go RedHawks!!

Re: Official 2009-2010 Miami season thread part II: Unfinished Business

http://www.justin.tv/hockeyfor2day01#r=7Isi1vM~ was working for me up until slightly after the first Miami goal, its frozen now but it may just be my internet connection. Miami was wiffing on a lot of chances, but UAH wasn't doing anything that made me worry.

More of the same for the rest of the period. UAH picked up the offense a little bit but Cody hasn't really been tested yet. Wingles rang the post on a 2 on 2 and we had a couple other pucks just miss, been controlling the pace so far.

Is that alternate jersey you guys are wearing now on sale anywhere?

Sadly I don't believe so, they auctioned off game worn ones for charity early on in the year but that was about all I heard as far as them being available.

I'm not sure if we are switching equipment providers or something at the end of the year or what but you can't even find our normal Nike jerseys for sale anymore. Only thing we sell at the Goggin are cheap knockoffs. =(
