Official 2009-2010 Miami season thread part II: Unfinished Business

Re: Official 2009-2010 Miami season thread part II: Unfinished Business

Still waiting on mieles penalty shot at the end of the third.

Re: Official 2009-2010 Miami season thread part II: Unfinished Business

The ref's had to even up on the lack of a goaltender interference call on that one Miami goal. ;)

Does anyone know if Bishop grew up on the diving boards? Looked like a regular Gregg Louganis out there. 3 dives, 3 penalties.

My buddy and I got in his head a little bit tonight. Yelling through cracks in the glass we were telling him to go for an Oscar next time. He was yelling something back at us but between the glass being there and us laughing at him, we couldn't tell what he was saying. Just a minute before his goal he was lying on the ice "hurt". What an actor.

We in Huntsville are now rooting for Miami like crazy, because Miami getting the #1 seed puts us in Fort Wayne, which is way easier of a drive than any other of the regionals.

Plus hey ... we all like Enrico down here.

Quite a phenomenon that bravery increases exponentially when on the crowd side of the glass. ;)

You won't like him in the long run if UAH takes Nebraska-Omaha's place in the CCHA.

You won't like him that much if UAH takes Nebraska-Omaha's place in the CCHA.

I'd send him Christmas cards every year if we got in the CCHA. The main reason I wanted in the CCHA was to have roadies where I could leave Friday morning first thing and still make the game [tOSU, Miami]. This leaving right after work on Thursday night thing is for the birds, man.

GFM <-- still willing to drive to Worcester if that's where the boys end up.

I hear ya. He seemed to be talking awful big with that glass between us. :D I was a little surprised first that he heard us, then to actually respond? I guess the players are aware of the fans huh? All in fun brother, all in fun. But I do believe he took a dive. Sometimes they do that ya know.

Too bad Shegos wasn't there tonight, he is a big fan of the unsportsmanlike embellishment call. Matty was nice enough once to explain his thought process in calling it to some of us once before taking the ice the period after he nailed Wingels with one. He actually seemed like a pretty nice guy, shocker :p .

Re: Official 2009-2010 Miami season thread part II: Unfinished Business

OK, for those of you who can't go to the game but want to watch it here is how to get it FREE!. When you go to Miami's athletic website at www.muredhawks.com and proceed to the hockey page you will see where you can click on the option of gametracker or watch. Click on watch and it will take you to CBS Sports (CSTV) where you can pay to view. It has a place to enter a promo code, you want to enter FREEMONTH09 and that should give it to you free, at least it worked for me with Saturday's game. One last thing, it will require you to have Microsoft Silverlight to watch and will give you the option of downloading it if you don't already have it. Hope it works for everyone. Enjoy! :D :D :D :D

Hurt or not, that was a really bad hit and Spinnell got what he deserved for that hit. Him lying on the ice had no relevance on the call, both guys had it and got it right.

GFM - do you realize that there are still 4 teams with lower RPIs than UAH that are fighting for autobids. So, it is possible that UAH will be the #15 team in the NCAA and not the #16.

Hadn't even contemplated that. Good call, Thor.

So that probably means that if UAH gets 16 they're heading up east with Denver (unless we get that #1 back). If they get 15 they're most likely headin to Fort Wayne.

And Miami would get a crack at getting our first win in four tries against the CHA this season.

Maybe the refs figured Miami didn't deserve it after they squandered 5 min of continuous PP earlier in the 3rd (including a minute of 5 on 3 gifted by a phantom call)... :D
